Crowne Plaza Lombard Downers Grove by IHG

Great location. Easy parking

Very disappointed for a Crown Plaza. Not that the property was dirty but it’s very dated. The carpet is old, paint chipping and the office chair had a big chunk taken out of it. They only clean the room by request and when I requested it, it took 2 days to come. Would not stay here again.

I didn’t use the gym and the pool due to carpet replacement. The breakfast was ok. The room was mbeh

Needs some tlc -

This place could REALLY use a facelift! General musty smell throughout the halls & elevators. Bar/restaurant also closes much too early.

I had stayed there to attend the funeral of a cousin that still lived in the area. In my youth, in the 70s, this building had been a Holiday Inn. It basically still is. They have "updated" a number of the buildings finishes, but do not appear that interested in maintaining the new facade. My first floor room had a dank smell and several issues with the finishes and furniture. my cousins room on the third floor was only different by lacking the dank smell. I have stayed in super 8 an motel 6 level hotels, but I have a problem with getting the same level of service and surroundings and paying around $200 a night. The small workout room looked acceptable, though i did not use it. The breakfast bar was breezeway motel level as well.

always come here for a specific time of year when everything else is high in price and this is the only budget friendly hotel thats clean, isn't noisy, and has a nice environment. six stars please don't raise the prices

Very old. Smelled.

Excelent Hotel. The people very nice. Clean Hotel.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Very comfortable rooms.

Location, pool, friendly staff. Water marks on the wall, bath tub could of been cleaned better.

Property was clean, comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good.

i will be going again i had a great experience

Easy access and free parking. Outdated room and less than clean pool. They also said we wouldn’t be charged for our grandchildren’s breakfast, and we were.

Room was clean it was very used and needs to be updated as well as the rest of the hotel. Smelled musty and the coffee machine didn’t work in our room. For the money NOT worth a second visit. Breakfast seemed a bit on the expensive side.

Very good overall especially the pool that was my favourite

It was ok.

My issue is with the Expedia customer service. They were horrible when I needed help. I am looking for alternatives for future. Do not expect they would help if you need to make any changes or correction in your booking .
