Holiday Inn Downtown - Mercy Area by IHG

The main parking lot was closed causing us to walk from a block away in the rain. Hotel appeared to be in disrepair, entrance way had a roof leak.

Close to Casey’s Center No shuttle from the hotel to Casey’s Center, there was one when I stayed 2 years ago No breakfast service, only saw coffee

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was t super welcoming when we arrived. It smelled like cigarette smoke in the lobby and in the room and that gave me a headache.

Thermostat not adjustable enough. Freeway noise a bit much.

The lady that checked us in was very nice and helpful. I would give my interaction with her an A+! What I am not happy with is an issue we did not notice until the morning getting ready to leave. There was a plastic bag covering our smoke detector with a large band wrapped around it to hold it in place. I can only guess whom ever stayed in that room previously was smoking of some sort. When I took the bag off and brought it down to inform the morning gentleman about it he seemed uninterested. Said he wouldn't hold me accountable to it. That's it. He had no interest in what our safety would have looked like if there was a fire. Have your house keeping look deeper into the room when preparing it for the next guest. I wasn't happy about it and he didn't care

Windows must have leaked during recent storms.. floor in room was wet and rooms smelled musty. Did ask for a different room.. second room was slightly better..

Staff could of been more welcoming

Parking lot closed off, hotel needs updated, ice machine and pop machines not working on several floors, carpet ripping at seams in the room, air vents severally dirty and clogged and poor caulking around bathroom

They offer breakfast but it is not free. It is $10 per person plus tip, even though it is just a buffet style continental breakfast. I did still enjoy it, and the staff was lovely. The hotel is also built alongside a large highway, so it was pretty loud in the night with highway noise. That is not something the hotel can control, but it did still affect our stay. I was happy they had a fitness center with all the basics. Overall, for the price point of the hotel, I did expect more.

Their total parking lot was unavailable. A small lot was set aside for hotel parking. It was NOT enough. Towing signs were posted everywhere else near by. Free breakfast ended up being only for young children.

Parking was a little wild since their main lot is under construction. But that should be temporary.

We always stay here for a reason. Great location and awesome staff.
