Extremely hospitable and responsive to requests. Unique hotel with distinctive charm.

Loved the breakfast they left at the door. Property was nice but no elevator or stairs and apparently, it is common in Carmel to have no air conditioning. This property did not have it and it was warm. They gave us a floor fan but it was not very effective. Also going up and down two flights of stairs was a chore, although the staff did bring our bags up when we arrived. We did bring everything down. We had a lovely stay though.

Amazing room and location! We loved having breakfast delivered right to the room. The staff were incredibly friendly and gave us excellent recommendations for things to see and do in the area. We had a wonderful stay!

The hotel is more like a motel with almost no amenities and no common areas. The shower was pathetically weak and the towels thin. If this was an inexpensive hotel, the accommodations would have been okay. My total cost per night was almost $500 and we had a balcony that looked at the back of a building. No charm at all.

Our girls trip to Carmel was great and the Tradewinds was such a nice property for us! From the zen atmosphere, to the beautiful robes, very comfy beds and the wonderful choices for our breakfast basket delivered to our doorstep. All lovely additions that made our stay memorable and comfortable.

The staff was wonderful. So friendly and accommodating. The property had such a cool zen like vibe. Quiet, too. A short walk into town. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Very friendly staff. No AC in this hotel. Not a huge deal as the weather was beautiful but would’ve liked them to disclose that in the hotel description

The room was clean and cosy. Everything worked well and was thoughtful, including the breakfast. Th only thing is that since the building is wooden, we could hear the upstairs.

This is our new favorite place! Excellent location (short walk to downtown), large room, designated parking space, and delicious breakfast delivered to your room every morning. Outstanding. The staff is lovely as well. We chose this property at the last minute for a much needed getaway, and the calming sounds from the Buddha fountain were exactly what we needed. Love this property and looking forward to booking again very soon.

Charming hotel. Breakfast was wonderful with a very clever presentation. Delicious fresh fruit.

The ocean view in the double bed rooms is wonderful but the rooms heat up a lot in the late afternoons with the sun hitting the walls for hrs.

Excellent place to stay - lovely, comfortable and in a great location. The only downside was that there’s no A/C, which would have made the stay even better.

We had a wonderful stay last night! The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and informative. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely fireplace and a fan, which was a nice touch. We also really appreciated having a mini fridge in the room. Overall, a great experience and we would definitely stay here again!

The room was clean and set up nicely though small for 2 people. The room got warm during the day and there is no a/c at the facility. There was no main eating/lounge area in the building however we were given a menu with a delivered breakfast. The basket filled with food in glass jars was so charming and delicious. I also appreciated the basket of towels to borrow for the beach.
