Baymont by Wyndham Spearfish

Rooms bathroom light didn't work. Security doors propped open.

My reservation was for a room with a king bed and that is what I paid for but we got a room with double queen. There was still trash in the garbage can and food crumbs on the table and night stand. The registration staff did come and clean the room up after I asked them to come take a look. The comforter was an absolute joke about as thick as a sheet, so I ask for another blanket and they gave another one of the "comforters". The people upstairs where not loud people by any means but just them walking made the whole floor/ceiling sqeak, which was great to wake us up every time they got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. And oh the bathroom was a whole story in itself! Took my shoes off and went to head into the bathroom, the carpet outside the bathroom door was soaked (I mean who doesn't like wet socks right). When I flushed the toilet it sounded like someone fired up a jackhammer. Apparently something was wrong with the pressure valve. Even the people in the room next to us can out to see what was happening because it was that obnoxious. Thankfully my husband was able to fix it. So let's move on the the shower that was apparently made for people of 5ft stature or less, it screamed and squealed so loud when the wayet was on I could no longer hear the TV. I literally took videos of it to send to my kids just so we could all laugh because I am normally a pretty go with the flow person but this room was absolutely ridiculous!

Where do I begin? I got in late and took a shower that turned into an ankle bath. Found a booger on a comforter. Short hair somewhere in my daughter‘s bed. Shower, drained too slow and the floor in the bathroom seemed filthy slippery. At least staff was nice.

Nothing Everything was broken, no front desk help, no one answered the phone, worst service Ive ever had.

Facility is in terrible condition. Dirty and smelly public toilet, dysfunctional exterior door, pool and hottub out of service, cold coffee in lobby, no chair in the room, stains in the bath tub, leaky shower faucet, broken bed box spring. I was in disbelief that this is in fact a Wyndham brand hotel. But the front desk person was sincere and apologetic. Expedia should clearly indicate that the amenities are not available. I used my smartphone app and rating was not visible. I counted on "Wyndham" brand to make my choice.

It was reasonable. It had vacancy. I soon found out WHY! It took 10 minutes to get someone to the front desk after calling. Had a man standing by me that was impaired by drugs or alcohol. Side door blocked open. Five men in various areas as we walked up the stairs under the influence of something. We were afraid to stay here and cancelled our stay and got our money back.

Compact but complete room and lobby amenities. Very cost efficient. Clean and well cared for property. Would return if in the area again!

Negatives: parking lot can get alittle tight . Back side door is usually propped open by a rock, which causes me concerns if mice get in. Older property that they are trying to maintain. Our door handle kept falling off. Beds are alittle in the soft side. Could use paint touch ups. We have stayed multiple occasions, but hope they continue to make updates.

The bathroom was moldy tub was moldy, and there was hair all over the bathroom floor and it just did not smell clean in the whole room

I showed up paid for early check in and stood there for over half an hour there was no one at front desk. There was a number to call to get help called 5 times went to voice mail every time no answer! Finally some one showed up with a basket of laundry asked if I called the number I told them yes 5 times and she said she was charging her phone so didn’t get the call!!!! See above

Staff was nice. Morning breakfast was terrible. Just toast. Room was okay. I would not stay here again.

Rooms were dirty sticky spots on carpet. Tub in bathroom was so dirty didn’t dare even shower! Pillow cases were not clean and had blood/ stains on them. No toilet paper roll holder in the bathroom. Refrigerator not working upon arrival.

The overall maintenance of the building looked a little rough, between the pool, bathroom, and carpeting.

Nothing Waited 30 mins at the front desk, nobody showed up for us to check in, the phone number they left on the desk to call for help didn’t answer

Tub had black in it. I wouldn't shower. Fire alarm missing and wires hanging loose from ceiling. No toilet paper or Kleenex .had to go to office to get. Mattress ancient sheets Dingy not crisp.AC ancient and didn't work well.

Door handle was broken, room was kinda dank. Not Terrible

Rooms were not very clean. We left one room because it hadn’t been cleaned and got a second room that wasn’t much better

Had to wait 15 mins for someone to get back to the desk to check in. Room was ok, microwave was ancient, bathroom was too and the drain smelled funny. Bed was very comfortable. AC made a lot of noise but at least it was consistent. Pool and hot tub are permanently out of order but showed up on amenities at least one place I looked. Parking was awful and very tight in front but the back lot seemed sketchy. Anyway, you get what you pay for and this is the cheapest hotel in spearfish. Not great but ok.
