JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District

The view was nice, the staff was friendly, the pool area was great! Our hallway and room had a musty smell to it. It was a fine location for a day but most restaurants were not authentic local restaurants rather they were resort like restaurants.

Helpful when checking in, I Requested a print out receipt. It wasn’t provided I could say it was an over site, however I called back 3 days later to request my printed receipt and Renee at the front desk sent it right over , I opened to Find I was charged for my valet after speaking to Saprina it was cover in my booking. Called right back , Renee kept putting me on automatic hold . I kept calling back she then answered advising she issue the refund - I requested a revised receipt . I had to keep calling back , she then answered placed me on hold. , processed the refund and the receipt email while I was on hold . I call the concierge to assist. Renee took me off hold , when I shared my email refund came through she chuckled. Very unprofessional and not JW Marriott quality. It hard to get quality people - for the kind of money spent- that is poor quality service for customer service. I am certain JW record calls , the call process occurred thursday 10/1/26 started 3:52pm-4:10 pm.

I recently had a great stay at this hotel. The views were absolutely beautiful, and the on-site restaurants offered delicious meals with excellent service. I also appreciated that the location was within walking distance to many attractions, which made exploring the area very convenient. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I have traveled the world for decades and JW Marriott Savannah Riverside is the finest, best run, most interesting, most friendly hotel that I have ever stayed in. Their staff is the best, most professional, most engaging, and most helpful of any high end hotel. Everything was great. Best ever!!!

Beautiful property and a great location. Staff was very polite, seemed like everyone from doorman, front desk staff, servers and even maintenance people greeted you with a smile. Food at all the locations we ate at was better than expected for a Marriot type of setting. The food and beverage was on point here.

Room was nice. HVAC was very quiet which seems to be rare at hotels. Lots of food options. Fantastic location. I’d highly recommend the hotel to anyone.

What an amazing place to stay. It felt like being a resort without it being a resort. Service was top shelf excellent in all phases. From the service desk, to the restaurants to the valet’s. And how about how beautiful the facilities are, very unique and amazing! We were there for move in week for our son who is a senior at Scad, couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Pro tip: upgrade to the balcony suite overlooking the river. Fantastic view of the river and great sunrises and sunsets!!

The service at this hotel was horrible. If you are a Bonvoy status don’t expect high service at this hotel. Everything was dirty and no assistance when needed

Had a 2 level room and a other seperate room. First morning fire alarm went off and hotel evacuated. No explanation why. Stayed 3 nights. Never cleaned our room. The 3rd day I messaged the staff to ask for a clean around 1pm. Came back at 6pm. Never cleaned. The room service website was down, i had to let them know. They fixed it. The room was hot and had a vent that was a return duct that blew hot air into the room that smelled like electrical fire. The maintenance guy was super nice but said it's the type of ac system they have. The toilets one filled with black water. This was due to the fire alarm and the fire sprinkler system. There wasn't a fire as we found out. One of the workers drove into an overhead fire sprinkler with a fork lift. Even the in room coffee centers lids didn't fit the coffee cups. The phones in tje room had no directory. You had to go online to get the number for the front desk. The valet was super eexpensive. The staff was very nice when you could get one. So.... much better options for a lot less money available in Savannah..
