Best Western Plus Richmond Airport Hotel

There was no Shuttle available on one of the days to the Airport. Also, they still advertise "Uncovered extended parking on site (USD 5 per day)" which they said they no longer do which it's been a month since we were there and it's still on the Expedia / their Corporate Website and was told, "Nothing we can do about that"? Also, they don't reply to their Messages within Expedia, ever. Not good in my opinion.

Breakfast was surprisingly good!

Shuttle van to the airport was fast and efficient. Hallways in the hotel smelled of smoke, but all the rooms are non-smoking. The shower either had a lot of mold or black unpainted areas-- unacceptable. At 9 am the maid was knocking on the door to ask us if we were leaving that day. I guess the computer information on guests staying or leaving is not available to her and she has to knock on the door to ask.

Dirty. Untidy. Dimly lit and unwelcomeing lobby. Pool was Disgusting. This place should be be shut down and overhauled. Please, spend a little more money folks, get a nicer, cleaner, safer hotel.

My room wasn’t available when I got there to do the check in at 7pm. I had to wait 30mins

I wasn’t able to complete my stay the room was not clean and looked like someone had been living in it and it was occupied. Nothing it was disgraceful

The breakfast was great. A staff member at the front desk asked if I had a room here i was offended by her asking if feel she was dead wrong for that I showed her my key card and then she had the adasity to asked what room I was in.

We stayed here because they offered extended parking (for a fee) plus shuttle to the airport. Next morning, no one at the desk. There was a note “call for assistance”, called and was told no shuttle driver.

Made reservation prepaid and when I got there no rooms available and they sold my prepaid room to someone else. They were non apologetic

We arrived around midnight and had to call a number (hotel staff not around) to have someone come over and check us in. Doors to lobby wide open and no staff at the hotel. No lights on elevator on first floor, ceiling tiles missing in 4th floor hall, leaks when it rains. A pile of boxes outside of 4th floor elevator. Would not stay here again.

I’ve stayed at this hotel for years when traveling home to Virginia to visit family. It was great to see that a lot of flight crews stayed there and the staff, the rooms, the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. My last stay prior to this one was two years ago and it was as good as always. This visit is was beyond surprised and disappointed. When I entered the lobby I noticed immediately that there wa no air conditioning going. I was checked in quickly and went to the elevator to go up to my room. The laundry area was an absolute mess (laundry sheets on the floor, wet and dry detergent on the machines and the floor.) I arrived in the room to find the heat was on and the floor was literally “sweating” from the humidity. I noticed a fair amount of dust on most of the furniture. If I hadn’t been there before I would not have thought too much from a budget hotel but wow… really has gone downhill.

Older hotel with many updates. Was in the process of a renovation. The bed was comfortable and pillows were just right. Only issue I had was that the outlets in my room have been there for at least a decade. Would barely hold a plug, charging accessories were a challenge but doable. I would definitely stay again. Just something’s to keep in mind.

I picked this place because it was cheap, close to the airport, and for only one night. We survived. But the entire place smells and feels like a wet towel that's been balled up in a closet for a few weeks. Mildew everywhere, disrepair. Pervasive pot smell on 4th floor. Breakfast area was filthy and contained a guy sleeping with his head on top of his half-eaten waffle. Staff were friendly but no one lifted a finger to try to make the place cleaner. Too busy smoking under the no smoking sign outside the front entrance lol.

Our room was large and clean. The staff was welcoming The common areas were extremely warm and frankly dated. Still, it was clean!

The bed was comfortable, good mattress and pillows decent. The bed and front area carpet was clean. No coffee or tea bags in the room. Bathroom was dated and the floor hadn’t been mopped for awhile. The shower needed repair, most of the water went into the tub through the lower faucet. I will not stay there again.
