Everything was good!

This hotel was a pleasant surprise - we booked it on route to Pittsfield to see my mom who had been admitted to the hospital there. It was very affordable for a midweek stay, and it is a unique, renovated building that was clean and quiet and comfortable. Free parking in a dedicated lot (secured in the overnight hours) behind the hotel was great too. Loved the shower!

Large quiet room and bath. Our room we had a kitchen. It had style and charm and the investment in a renovation to a hotel this large took dedication to the property and community. Truly the neighborhood, maybe the entire city felt rough - homeless and drug addicts hanging around, walking in area felt uncomfortable.

We enjoyed our stay. A unique property. This was a quick overnight to attend a show at tanglewood. Dined at the restaurant on the property, which was convenient and very good as well. Would visit again.

Parking was easy and the hotel location was an easy walk to many places of interest. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant on the premises--elegant and tasty. Finally, kudos to the very friendly and helpful staff who were always eager to answer our questions, talk about the building's history, or provide an item we needed. Thanks to you all!

We loved staying there BUT we had two major hiccups: 1) the duvet covers are exceptionally heavy so we asked at the front desk for a blanket so we could use that instead. The answer we got back was that there had been some “event or something’ the day before and there were no blankets available. In that case, they brought us a second sheet and we used that instead of the duvet which worked out OK; 2) we stayed for two nights and they forgot to make up our room…which meant we came back to an unmade bed which was disappointing. We notified the front desk and while they were very apologetic they said the cleaning crew had left for the day so they couldn’t fix it. In general, it was clear they were short on staff. The youngish man on call to greet us could not have been less helpful and continued to be on other occasions. However, we encountered two other staff members and they were fine. Apart from that, we loved our room—very spacious with lots of character and the bathroom was also unusually large and well designed. Plugs are often a problem when we travel but our room had two perfectly placed plugs beside (not underneath!) each bed table (a big plus!). Parking behind the hotel is another huge plus—couldn’t be more convenient. We didn’t use the bar but did eat at the restaurant there one night (and their sister breakfast place down the street) and enjoyed both.

The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything on main street, the homeless people, the traffic and the train early. The person above me was up so early on a Saturday, every foot step sounded like a herd of sheep. I stayed to potentially be able to bring our dogs next time to see what it was like. It’s just not a place to stay as a female alone, the downtown area did not feel safe alone. The hotel was beautiful. The beds just so so for the level of hotel. They cater to dogs I guess that would be the only reason I would go back and not alone. The parking is gated in the back but again not a handicap friendly door, very heavy and sort of scary until you enter the hotel. It was clean and the staff lovely but its the location and my lack of sleep, thats why it would not be my choice unless we had to bring our dogs.

Converted 19C factory with loft vibe. Huge bathroom with lots of extras. Very large and quiet room. Comfortable and clean. Secure free parking. Located centrally for all Berkshire attractions. No breakfast room within the hotel, although at least 2 excellent cafes within several blocks.

Great location, clean room!

This hotel had a great feeling right from the beginning. It’s beautifully decorated and it smells wonderful as you walk in. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Our room was huge and comfortable. There was not one thing I did not like
