Superb
-
Above average airport hotel, solid breakfast and well equipped fitness center. I would stay here again.

The room was clean and so much space, staff was friendly. The breakfast was amazing with warm food.
-
Clean and had more amenities than I was expecting! Very close to Chase field and had good prices.

The valet parking may seem pricy at first, but it is really only a couple of dollars more than any of the nearby self-parking options. Valet staff were very friendly, and the pickup and payment process was very quick and easy to use. I highly recommend using them. I have 2 improvements I would suggest though. First, all of the soaps and washes in the room seem to have moisturizers built in. While this would normally be a good thing for Arizona dryness, in my case I wear contact lenses and these soaps left my hands very oily. It was so hard to get my lenses clean enough to be usable. The second improvement would be the breakfast area. While there is plenty of seating, the serving area is very small and there are very few options to choose from. When a big group of guests all come at the same time, it is very chaotic and more popular items may be gone.

The hotel and staff were good but Expedia failed to notify me when I made the reservation that the hotel had no parking and valet parking was required for which there was a $46 charge. I will never use Expedia again.

Nice stay

When we arrived, no valet attendant was available. With limited practical parking alternatives downtown, I ultimately had to leave the vehicle in front of the hotel while we went to the game. When we returned, I still had to find a valet attendant and arrange overnight parking for the vehicle. The following morning, I tipped the attendant $20. Apparently, there was a shift change shortly afterward, and when we came down later, my interaction with the next attendant made me feel as though another tip was expected. After similar issues at two different Hilton properties, I think the outsourced valet model may be worth considering from a customer service perspective. I understand why hotels outsource these services, but customers don't really distinguish between the contractor and Hilton. When someone stands at the entrance to a Hilton property, handles my vehicle, and becomes one of my first and last interactions with the hotel, that person represents Hilton to me. The contractual distinction may exist internally, but from the customer's perspective, it is all part of the same experience.

The microwave in our room was broken. I was with my 2 granddaughters for a show and a movie night after. In the morning housekeeping walked in our room and woke us up. They did apologize however they stood out front our door chitchatting for at least 5 minutes.
