Vary close to Universal and amazing stay for halloween horror nights
-
Older building but well kept. Very friendly, best location and amazing pool. Musty damp smell on the 9th floor and no ventilation in the bathroom. Made for a hot and muggy bathroom.
-
Very, very friendly staff, free water & cookies. Spacious room. Great cleaning staff. Water pressure in the shower, felt like there was a sag in the mattress causing a bit of backpain.

Only a few downsides. No free coffee or water (except the 2 small bottles at check in). In room coffee doesn’t look like something that has been used in years. The places to eat at the hotel (or get a coffee) are expensive. Think Universal prices in a hotel setting. The little gift shop was beyond overpriced even for a tourist spot. Overall, it was a great stay.

First of all, the bathroom air conditioning vents were covered in dust and dirt. I have allergies, so this was especially concerning and made me very uncomfortable. The shower was also in terrible condition. The caulking around the showerhead was broken, and the caulking all around the bathtub looked old, worn out, and poorly maintained. For the price of a hotel room, I expected much better cleanliness and maintenance. On top of that, they charge $50 PER DAY for parking! That is absolutely ridiculous and feels excessive, especially when the room itself already costs money. The worst part of my stay was the completely unprofessional way the hotel handled an issue with my credit card. At around 9 PM, a maintenance guy came banging extremely hard on my room door, waking me up and putting me into a state of panic. I was half asleep and suddenly had to deal with a stressful situation that should never have been handled that way. He was extremely rude and expected me to go downstairs half asleep to resolve an issue that could easily have waited until the morning when I checked out. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my credit card! The transaction simply showed as pending, and all they needed to do was wait for it to process!

great location, easy access to universal. Always a wonderful stay. Parking is a little pricey

Overall, it was a great day. Didn’t use many of the amenities if at all the cookies were a nice touch. Rooms are a little bit dated and can use a refresh but overall I would stay again definitely close proximity to universal so that’s a bonus.

Loved the place very clean staff was very friendly and helpful

Clean room. Ice machine down. Wouldn’t have a big deal if the front desk had informed me. A room service staff member informed me when I inquired. I had to go to the 8th floor for ice.

From the moment that I checked in with Pamela, it was great. My boyfriend and I went there for Halloween horror nights and our stay at the doubletree was nothing short of wonderful. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean. And I would definitely come back again. Especially for the delicious cookies! :)
