Homewood Suites by Hilton Newark-Wilmington South Area

I thought the RM was a really nice size for what we needed and for the price, Unfortunately are RM was near an outside water issue that caused are carpet to be wet and it smelled some and they were aware of that so I'm not sure why they even would have the RM available to be rented until the issue was resolved

The morning staff was very helpful at answering questions and assisting. Your breakfast was amazing with great options. My 6 and 9 year old had many options to choose from. Night staff front desk was not friendly or helpful. She did not want to take or give the time to answer a question I had about my booking as I had already paid for it thru booking.com but charged me a second time.

Light in TV area was broken and the indoor pool was very cold.

Everything The pull out couch in room 408 was not comfortable to sit on. The pullout bed was resting on the floor which made sitting on the couch very uncomfortable.

Clean, great beds!

I had to be changed from my first room due to getting red blotches on my arm from being bite by something on the loveseat. In the second room the fridge was filthy and the air conditioner door was open. Front desk was informed. I also didn’t have a working phone in my room the entire weekend so anything I needed I had to go down from the 5th floor to the front desk for assistance.

The room was very welcoming felt like I was home . Which made me so relaxed .

Pool needed chlorine. It was foggy. No hand soap in bathroom.

Furniture, carpet was old... One of the burners did not work

Breakfast is sparse. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.

When my wife's allergies were unbearable, we asked to move to a higher floor hoping there was no mold. The lady at the desk was short and unkind to my wife as if bothered by our intrusion. The second room was better but still very worn and stained furniture and appliances. We are Hilton Honors members and are accustomed to a higher quality of everything than we received on this stay. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

Pleasant staff, clean room

Rooms were big but outdated & dirty! Rug was stained in hallway & in rooms. Living room furniture was so old & stained I refused to let my family sit on it. Wet spot on the floor near the master bed - it appears the ceiling had been patched from a leak but not too well. Rain from earlier in the day had probably caused the wet spot. Pillow smelled like they had tried to air out the smell of someone who had smoked marijuana in the room. I was definitely not satisfied with my stay & will not be returning to this hotel with so many other options nearby.
