Gorgeous historic hotel, very ornate and in a great location a few walkable blocks from Whiskey Row. We didn't eat or drink at the hotel as I prefer going to local places. I wish we had time for the historic tour of the building. The room and bed was well appointed and comfortable. My only complaints were the bathroom is very small, almost nowhere for your toiletries and a narrow corner shower. Also when I tried calling a few days prior to my trip my call got routed to Hilton Honors. I finally got HH to transfer me to the hotel but it took forever. A grand hotel like this should answer the phone in a timely manner and not pawn it off on Hilton Honors.

For a high end hotel, it’s way overpriced. The rooms do not match the hotel elegance throughout. My room in particular had major cleanliness issues. There were palm and hand prints on the headboard of the bed. What looked to be foot prints on the toilet lid, seat and floor. The bathroom floor was covered in loose hair from several different body parts. So I took it upon myself to go to the local drug store and purchase cleaning supplies and proceeded to clean it myself, after the cleaning staff weren’t able to fix the issues to my expectations. Some staff were excellent while others mediocre. Would not stay here again!

The history of the hotel and it's beauty. The beds were AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE! Garden tub and HUGE towels! The parking situation. The City of Louisville is in charge of the parking garage and it was $22.00 a day to park and if you went anywhere else, you also had to pay to park.

Beautiful, historic, amazing staff and food.

Cool older facility. Room comfortable and clean. It was hot weather. The AC was set at 70 prior to arrival and never got below 73.
-
No refrigerator in room. Small room. Bed was comfortable. I thought overpriced for what you got, paying for the name and history.

I was so mad that nothing was being done that checked out at 3am and headed home. She did offer me another room but by the I wanted out of there. She never once apologized about the situation. And the security guard didn’t do their job and no it wasn’t Patrick because he was awesome and had ended his shift. So that was a bummer to end my stay. Plus the amount that the hotel charges to park each time you leave the hotel is outrageous. I paid $44 just to park and that’s insane. So I will never stay there again but I will meet up with Patrick again to take his ghost and history tour. He and Hannah who was my server at the Seelbach restaurant were both awesome.

Such a gorgeous staircase as you enter. The history of this beautiful hotel is why I have always wanted to stay even though it's about 15 minutes from my home in Louisville. It was the perfect choice, with only a 5 minute walk following a concert at The Louisville Palace. I could go on and on about the beauty and comfort of The Seelbach, but you really should check it out for yourself.
