Hampton Inn Louisville Downtown

The breakfast was good and they had decent options. The location was great. Everything that we were interested in was within a 10 minute drive. The bathroom in our room was EXTREMELY hot.

Location Maintainance issues. Room 806: toilet rocks- not stable / tight to floor.; caulking of toilet missing or peeling at floor; bathroom towel rack loose/ ready to fall off wall; shower curtain bar loose. I hand tightened screw.

Breakfast was great, pool is big, right downtown, visited for Bourbon and Beyond and TRAC pickup was across the street. Only complaint was A/C was noisy. Bathroom stocked w all supplies, Security walked around at night, parked in parking lot and no issues.

The room was clean, we were close to many local attractions including the Louisville Slugger Museum, YUM Center and parks by the River. The breakfast was not great. My husband and I both quit eating the eggs after 2 days because we had stomach problems that went away when we quit eating them. The staff was semi helpful. The night we checked in there was a lady at the front desk that couldn’t even tell us where our room was located in the hotel. We were there 4 nights and everytime we walked through the lobby (leaving in the morning and coming back in the evening), there was always someone different at the desk.

Clean room, great staff, and immensities was wonderful

We came to the area to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday and take part of the bourbon trail. We checked in on Sunday afternoon, the front desk was welcoming and polite. I did not have to wait long to be checked in. We were given our room keys and the parking pass. Upon entering our room the tv had a screen on with my name welcoming me. I have never had that and as an almost 49 year old I did appreciate that touch. We had a one queen bed room, it was spacious, clean and had a mini fridge. Since we were driving we had a cooler so having the mini fridge was nice so we could put food and drinks. The one down side of the room was it took a while to cool down to a comfortable temperature for my husband and me, but everyone is different on how they like the temp of their room. I loved how the hand soap, shampoo and conditioner were all attached to the wall. There was a sticker saying bed would be made daily as well as new towels; however, that did not happen for us. Breakfast was good except the juice machine was out of order and on Monday morning they had a gallon of orange juice that was almost gone by the time we got there (8:15). They spray for the waffle maker had been put away so my waffle was stuck to the maker and one worker saw what happened and made sure the spray stayed out. Our second morning, check out morning there was no juice or milk available and only had water or coffee to drink with breakfast. Didn’t use pool or gym. Felt safe personally as well as my car.

Rooms were cleaned every other day, unless requested.

Very friendly staff. Loved the breakfast and that crew!! Perfect location for everything we had planned. Took us a few times to get adjusted to all the sirens.

The room was clean. The ice machine worked well. Breakfast was awful. I stay at other IHG locations and what I experienced at Louisville Downtown was below subpar. Minimal selection, unappealing food, the place was too cheap to leave the non-stick spray out for waffle-making purposes. The rooms were small. I had to turn sideways to get to the beds. The permanent "Wet Floor" signs in the elevators were unsettling. Considering the lengths to which this location went in order to cut corners, I'm surprised that I had to pay so much.

Found it strange that it is setup for guest to arrive on foot if you arrive by car you have to pay extra

The hotel is dated and showing its age. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was satisfactory. Location was good for accessing the convention center and 4th st live.
