The breakfast was okay, but I feel they could have put much more effort into the quality and freshness of the food. The oatmeal didn’t seem properly prepared and tasted as though it had been sitting out for a while. The eggs were runny, the sausage was dried out and didn’t seem fresh, and the bacon tasted as though it had been microwaved. Other items, including the chorizo and potatoes, lacked flavor and were very bland. I’ve had much better breakfast experiences at other resorts and locations. Unfortunately, the staff’s attitude was also disappointing. I felt that the way some of the guests were treated was not as welcoming or accommodating as I would have expected. I did notice what seemed like a difference in how people were treated based on the demographics of the guests that day, although I can’t say for certain that this was the reason, and I don’t want to make assumptions or generalize. Overall, the experience felt uncomfortable and noticeably different from what I’ve experienced at other resorts. The staff could have been more accommodating, but instead I felt that they were dismissive and did not seem to care about assisting me. For example, I booked my stay through Booking.com, and when I arrived, I was told that they could not pronounce my first name and, because of that, they would not grant me the room. I had to contact Booking.com myself to resolve the situation, which was extremely frustrating and unnecessary. I was also very uncomfortable with what I perceived as different treatment toward Black guests. Based on my interactions and observations that day, I felt that some of the staff’s behavior toward Black guests came across as disrespectful and discriminatory. I cannot speak to their intentions or say definitively why they behaved that way, but the treatment left me with a strong impression that race may have played a role. Overall, the experience with the staff was very disappointing. Regardless of a guest’s name, background, or race, everyone should be treated with the same level of respect, professionalism, and courtesy.

The staff was amazing! We stayed there to visit my daughter that lives near downtown California, but she has cats that I'm allergic to. She stayed with us instead for a few nights, but found the sofa bed uncomfortable. I called the office and they sent a brand new mattress over, the employee that brought it couldn't have been any friendlier or accommodating. The customer service here is unmatched...We will stay here whenever we visit California.

It was very nice. I really have to give a shout out to the staff. I wish I was good at remembering names like the lovely lady who checked me in and replaced my room keys twice because I kept locking them in the room. It’s always a wonderful feeling to have people address you by name And they’ve only met you once.

This place was the best it could be. The staff was helpful, the bed was cozy, the room was quiet, and the living room felt like home. Plus, the breakfast was healthy and yummy. The $15 charge for parking was reasonable because it ensured I had a parking place.

I was very happy with our stay. Clean facilities. The room was great. Friendly staff, easy check in. Just need better pillows. I will surely check in at another Residence Inn.

The room was clean and comfortable, with amazing air conditioning—exactly what we needed to escape the heat! We’re local but wanted a cool, comfortable place to relax, and this hotel was perfect. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again if needed!

Unfortunately we only stayed overnight so we weren’t there very long. Didn’t even get to try breakfast in the morning as we had to leave early. But the room was really nice, like a little apartment. If we ever return to LGB area we will definitely be staying here.

Breakfast was good. Nice selection of food. Plenty of room to eat indoors plus outdoor tables available. The maid came into our room without knocking at 11:00 am on the day we checked out. The Do Not Disturb sign was on the outside of the door. She ignored it. Our room keys quit working at 11:00 am. Check out time is 12 noon. It was very disturbing to have the intrusion of the maid and the inconvenience of the keys not working as we were packing and preparing to check out.
