There was a horrible stench from the water faucet. They came to fix it but it was never fixed.

Everything was excellent and the brakefas the best I ever had before in any hotel

I liked the location and check in and out times very convenient. Only 1 elevator was working, took a long time to get to and from the room. Also, room was hot then cold the hot again. Temperature was not at a comfortable level.

more like we were visiting a military base. Wonder if all the Laredo hotels are like this? I guess we’ll explore other options next year.

When i pointed out that they advised sandwiches for sale , he said that were sold out. So there's nothing worse than a hungry traveler ending up at a 4 start hotel and there's nothing to eat. He even said that he didn't have the authority to comp me a beer, which there was plenty. really piss poor management and attitude.

Bad smell of mothballs and breakfast not too good

As soon as you come through the lobby door you are greeted with an overwhelming smell of mothballs. It’s bad and it’s all throughout the hotel. The room itself was nice but our AC made knocking noises all night. We couldn’t enjoy the free happy hour drink or breakfast because of the mothball smell. Also, only one elevator was working for the entire hotel (which seems to happen often based on other reviews) so it was a long wait each time we needed it. I would not recommend staying here until they fix these issues.

Location Upon arrival system was down therefore we couldn’t get a key to the room; escorted to the room by mgr. We were told anytime we needed to get back in the room we could ask someone at the front desk; definitely an inconvenience. AC in the room wasn’t cooling. Bed was uncomfortable followed by flat pillows.

The cleanliness of the room and common areas were excellent. The room size was great. The complimentary breakfast was very good. The staff were very nice. We stayed at the Embassy Suites because we were attending my brother's wedding. Our room would not cool below 76 degrees for the two days we stayed. We informed the front desk in the morning after the first night. They sent someone to look at it while we were gone. We came back late that night to find a floor fan as their solution to the problem. They did not offer to switch us to a different room. Very disappointing. The bed was not comfortable. It felt like a very cheap spring mattress. Not what I would expect at a nicer hotel. In addition, my parents stayed in another room (handicap accessible). My mom slipped on the wet tile in the shower and broke her shoulder and injured other body areas. When my dad went in to help her, he slipped as well, but was able to catch himself. There should be anti-slip on the shower tile at a minimum. Needless to say, both my parents missed my brother's wedding. Very sad.
