Hyatt Place Dallas/Grapevine

The most concerning part of the stay was the elevator, which felt so unsafe and suspect that we chose to take the stairs for the remainder of our visit. The hallways were dark and gloomy, and our room had a strong, musty odor upon entry that only improved slightly after turning on the air conditioning. Furthermore, the room itself required a much deeper clean, particularly the stained carpet and dirty bathroom walls. The timing of property upkeep was also poorly managed; while we were resting inside, maintenance arrived to paint the door trim inside and outside our room, which caused an unnecessary disruption and did not even improve the appearance. To top it off, the breakfast was subpar, featuring unappetizing breakfast meats that were tough to identify. This experience was far below the standard we expect from Hyatt, and the property urgently needs thorough cleaning and maintenance updates. If we had not purchased an Expedia package, I would have asked for my money back and went to another brand.

Great location. Driveway is a bit bumpy. Staff is amazing and I’d and helpful. I’d stay there again solely based on them. Room was clean. Bed was too cozy, made it hard to get moving in AM.

Location Staff seemed to be bothered to help, and staff double charged me upon check in. Another staff member was helpful and said she would help resolve the issue. It is not resolved currently so I’m out an extra $400.

Disappointing

It was quiet around us. Carpets were dirty, the bathroom was tiny, everything was outdated and noticeably worn and scratched up furniture. The bed skirt was ratty and dingy. The window unit air conditioner made weird noises all night and barely kept the room cool. The front staff were unfriendly and rarely at the desk to help anyone.

The airport shuttle does not e at night or early in am. I wish I would have known such before making reservation.

Friendly staff, the location was great and the view was beautiful. The bathroom was way too small , the shower only had hot water a little too hot, the sink was outside of the bathroom , not much room in the bathroom to change . The a/c in the room didn’t work to well.

We had a comfortable stay. Good location next to the mall and close to the airport. The hotel wasn’t super busy and the shuttle service was great and on time. Will stay again.

The staff and overall cleanliness of the property was great. Staff were excellent. The room had a very strong moldy smell, the elevator as was not functioning for a portion of our stay.

The hotel itself is in dire need of repairs and renovation. Very noisy floors, banging doors and very loud ac units. Ceiling on top floor showed terrible roof water damage. Smelled musty.
