La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Glenwood Springs

Our experience at LA Quinta in Glenwood Springs was. Very good and compared to neighboring accommodations, it was an excellent value.

Upon arrival, the young man at the front desk was friendly and accommodated our request for a room on the 1st floor since we had our bikes with us. However, he did not provide any extra info about the amenities, such as breakfast in the morning or the WiFi info. When we had issues connecting to the WiFi, we tried several times to reach the front desk (mind you, this was around 5:30 pm on a Wednesday) but no one answered. My husband ended up walking down to the front desk and found the staff member who was sitting in the back office. The room looked clean at first glance. However, when I did a more thorough evaluation, I noticed several things that were not so great. A huge stain on the lower part of the mattress, some type of stain on the air conditioning unit, a dirty bathroom fan vent, and run down shower surround. The mattress was not very comfortable. One compliment I can provide is for the front desk person, Rachel. An hour after we checked out, we realized that we had left behind our iPad. We called and spoke to Rachel and she put us on hold, went and found the iPad, and promised to ship in a couple days later. We received it soon after in perfect condition because of the wonderful job she did packing it up.

Room is good and breakfast is good. Only issue is the loading and unloading. It’s hard to get your stuff to and from the room

The bathroom door in Room 150 did not close properly. Needs some minor repair.

Good location for local amenities and less expensive than staying in Aspen. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Free breakfast had many options not available at most other hotels. Desk staff moved us to another room immediately when our original room was next door to loud group. They were very helpful.

Property is on the older side, obvious wear and tear, doors would stick and had to be pushed/pulled with more force then you would think. Looked like mold/water damage in bathroom.

Horrible breakfast

They did not clean our room after our first night. I went to the front desk and they said it needs to be requested. I wish I had known that - I am a clean person but would have loved to have had coffee refilled and new towels as I stayed for several days. Other then that it was fine!
