Kimpton Harper Hotel by IHG

Room and bed were comfortable and clean, free coffee in the morning in the restaurant. Didn't use gym or other amenities but all was wonderful.

Valet is over $50/night, didn’t even offer to help with one carry-on size luggage. Bathroom has a sliding door which could be issue for some. Lobby is on the top floor. Novel idea! But odd and wait times when it comes to check in and check out. Positives; Bed was comfy. Clean. Coffee in the morning was free and they had milk-alternative!

Our Suite was roomy, it had a great walk-in shower, and I love the walkable close proximity to Sundance Square. The iL Modo restaurant is also wonderful. It would be a 5-Star review for me except for one caveat, and I’ll share that below. I’m an early riser, my favorite time of the day is the silent stillness before the break of dawn. I love sitting in muted lighting, while relaxing with a cup of my hot green tea, however . . . For a nice boutique hotel in which my room can generate $12k per month of revenue, I’ve become accustomed to having a Keurig in the room for our coffee, and perhaps even a small electric tea kettle. Surprisingly, the management of Kimpton Harper apparently feels that going to their restaurant at 6:30 a.m. suffices for your morning coffee, and maybe it does for most folks, but that doesn’t work for me. I’m up at 5 a.m., and as the city sleeps, I want to relax in my jammies in my dimly lit room, and I want to fix my own tea, while also brewing a cup of coffee for my wife to awaken to. Plus, I also like fixing a cup of tea in my room at other times of the day or evening as well. Staying at an upscale hotel with no Keurig or tea maker in the room, is no bueno for me. So although I would love to give it 5 Stars across the board, I’ll give this stay a 4-Star review instead.

We love the Kimpton stay always when in Fort Worth. Love that it’s dog friendly! Great walkable areas that is safe! Breakfast downstairs is great too!

Loved the gratis welcome drink at the upstairs bar and love anyplace that loves my dog! Thanks for a great, albeit quick, stay!

We have stayed in quite a few hotels in the downtown Fort Worth area. Kimpton Harper was among the best, we will absolutely stay again. The staff was extremely accommodating and courteous - the room was perfect. I have high expectations and they met every single one with flying colors.

My husband and I have stay at this hotel in different cities and we love it. The best perk is the fact that dogs are allowed without weight restrictions or fees. The hotels are extremely clean and the CS is spectacular super friendly and attractive. I don’t want to stay anywhere else :)

A lot of historical character. Much of the charm was maintained while updating the rooms. Even the elevators displayed much of the old charm. I suspect they require a lot of maintenance. Parking is expensive in downtown Ft Worth.

- Check-in is on the 24th floor, which raised a security concern because it appeared anyone could enter from the street, use the elevators, and potentially access guest-room floors before passing a staffed front desk. - The most serious issue was the elevator. The sensors did not appear to work properly, and the doors closed on my friend while she was using her mobility scooter, pushing her into the wall and further injuring her foot. - Our original room had air-conditioning problems, and we were told the entire floor was affected, so we had to change rooms. - In the second room, the toilet handle was broken. We called for repairs, but they were not completed and we had to call again the next day. - The counter and refrigerator were filled with minibar items, leaving little room for our belongings, and we were told there was a $20 fee to have them removed. - There was no iron because we were told the hotel’s irons had been recalled. - Parking was expensive and inconvenient, with self-parking a couple of blocks away. For a luxury hotel, I expected much better attention to safety, security, maintenance, and guest convenience. The elevator incident was especially concerning.

The place was beautiful…. Stunning… actually!!! The exercise space was amazing! The bar area with happy hour was so quaint and not too busy. Just perfect for a relaxing place to sit and enjoy. I absolutely loved the staff! Loved the room, love the entire hotel!!! I recommend this place 1000000%
