The location is marvelous, right off Highway one and a hop, skipping a jump to a shopping center. Staff very helpful room nice and clean. The only drawbacks were. It’s a little outdated and there was no microwave, which is kind of important to me.

Fantastic place, highly recommended

Had a wonderful time! The place was top shelf, everything beautifully landscaped, the aromas from the various plants, could not get enough of. The cottages were amazing. The detail, cleanliness, and hospitality was well worth the drive there from the foothills. Shout out to the office manager Jacob and his staff. They were extremely knowledgeable and assisted us in navigating our way around town, well done! Definitely will be going back, appreciate you!

I wish someone had warned us that hotel rooms do not have AC. We arrived late from a long travel day, just wanted to go to bed and it was 85 in our room, with the front desk's only recommendation being "open the doors and let it air out." It was 82 or hotter in our room after dark two of three nights, and even sleeping with windows open and fans on only got it to the mid-70's by morning.

We met lots of really nice people

The 2 of us and our dog stayed 2 nights. We all enjoyed our cottage, slept well, and walked around the grounds. We prefer slow mornings, like our coffee and eat lightly in the morning, so was very happy with the morning coffee station, complementally coffee, plus some specialty coffees and breakfast snacks available for a fee. Our overly confident small dog liked meeting the other dogs that were often about. Everyone, staff and the other guests were friendly.

It's relaxing and peaceful Nothing

This is a really wonderful hotel. We stayed in the main building and had a lovely view of trees and the river. The grounds of the property are beautifully maintained with gardens, fountains, fire pits, and more. It's a really peaceful experience to stay here. We had breakfast from the little food truck and sat in the garden watching the butterflies. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was nice, clean and cozy and walking around the surrounding property was really pretty. Unfortunately, the shower was really small with a really low shower head.

Come on, if we were told it would be, then later told we have to request it, that is on the front office communication. Get the right information out to the guests. Bad job on that side. The property was very nice and well maintained. Felt very safe and comfortable. Beds were just as comfortable as the Hilton properties which I typically stay on business trips. Over all, I would stay here again, but know that I will specify my housekeeping cleaning day at check-in.

While the river doesn't run this late in August, the property more than makes up for it with its peaceful, charming atmosphere. The staff is warm and accommodating, and the morning food truck serves delicious breakfast bites. We opted to upgrade from our reserved hotel room to Cottage 37, and it was worth every penny.

The property was pretty nice.it is very famiu friendly and gives a warm and comfort feeling. The cottages are different experience compared to other stays around the area. The fireplace were good. They have a nice little garden and swing which is pretty cool. The staff are very friendly and polite. Our rooms were not ready by the checkin time due to some technical issues in the room but they made sure they will call and gave an update and offered to store the luggage in office. Overall our stay was awesome.

Quiet and peaceful. Lots of nice flowers, plants, trees and birds! Pool was lovely. Easy access to all areas around Carmel. Almond croissant and Carmel coffee were delicious - breakfast trailer made it easy for quick bite! Highly recommend the Carmel River Inn.
