Great location. Lovely breakfast. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was spacious and the bed comfortable. I enjoyed sitting inthe beautiful courtyard. Not very sound proof. I could hear a enighboring room talking at 5:30 in the morning and they were pretty loud. And then an other neighboring room guest yelled at the top of her lung "SHUT UP!" Additionally, we were on the ground floor and the person in the room above us spent an incredible amount of time walking. It was a loud walk... we called him "Thumper" because it was so loud.

The property is very cute. Great location to walk to shops and restaurants. Clean and quiet. Constructive feedback; the towels are thin and cheap. For a high end property the towels should be thick and high quality. And why just two ? I have long hair, I use two towels a day and my husband needs one towel. There is no iron only a steamer. That’s not the same and when you are traveling and want to go out to dinner you need an iron. The closet is only a cupboard so dresses and pants cannot fully hang. There is no air conditioning. The room was stuffy. The champagne breakfast is false advertising. No one was drinking champagne at breakfast and it wasn’t offered. You have to ask for coffee and wait for them to bring it in little cups. Why not have an urn? The evening reception was nice but service was slow and nothing is complimentary. They didn’t refill the Nespresso coffee pods in the room daily so we had to ask for them. The tissues and toilet paper were also poor quality. Franco the morning sever was great!

The charm of the place and the hospitality of the personnel. The design of the hotel and its convenient location to the main street and all the restaurants. The room was comfortable with all the amenities you might need. Highly recommended. Given the overall quality of the place, some things were surprising for us (not necessarily very negative, but you need to be aware). The breakfast was nice but very limited in choice (no cooked or warm options at all, not even usual hotel things like smoked salmon, cheese etc.) Very (!) limited space in the room for storing clothes. No A/C in the room, only a fan - and even in mid-September that was not enough, we had to keep windows open all night and it got loud with other guests at times. Parking in Carmel can be tricky, especially in busy periods. No dedicated parking for the hotel, luckily we managed to find some spots around. Other than this, the hotel is lovely, charming, comfortable, well-designed and conveniently located. Highly recommended.

Came here for a sisters weekend, and my sister has high standards. Even she was impressed with how clean this place was. Decor was super adorable and Instagrammable, think French countryside. We received glasses of Rose upon check in, yummy cookies delivered to our room while we were out at dinner, and free chocolates plus 2 bottles of complimentary water. Note: there’s no A/C and like others have mentioned, walls are thin and doors slam easily making it a bit noisy. But both my sister and I agree that this property is cuter and quieter than their sister property a block away. Oh my…their breakfast is delicious. It was so good we went to the bakery that supplies their pastries the next morning. We had a fantastic weekend and can’t wait to come back!

Hotel is good although prices for Monterey car week are absurd. We are in a continued dispute about the room charges. The receptionists (two) quoted a price $440 for extended checkout which we agreed. The bill the next day charged a price $1755 (4 times higher), reduced so far upon my challenge to twice higher but obviously completely unacceptable and unclear why the manager should not immediately honour the price quoted and agreed by his staff. I will continue to dispute this charge which consumes my valuable time. Wholly unacceptable.

The only annoyance is the lack of private parking in an area where parking is quite difficult to begin with.

Lovely design and breakfast. Extremely overpriced for what it was. No pool/hottub, not even air conditioning, no service, and we paid almost 2k for one night.

My husband and I stayed at Le Petit Pali for our wedding anniversary and overall we felt our stay was just okay. When we arrived, I was surprised to find that the property is essentially a motel with charming decor. While it looks cute, it wasn't what I expected based on the photos and price point. The biggest disappointment was that there was no air conditioning. I didn't think to check beforehand because I assumed a hotel in this price range would have AC. That definitely impacted our comfort visiting during July. I was also confused by the high daily amenities fee. There isn't a pool, no onsite parking and there's not even an elevator to bring your luggage to the upper floor, so it wasn't clear to us what the fee was covering. They do offer complimentary bikes to ride into town, but we didn't feel comfortable using them because Carmel's streets are narrow and busy. Many of the "amenities" listed on the website seem to be standard hotel offerings, such as Wi-Fi and linens, rather than extras that would justify the additional fee. They deliver complimentary cookies to your room each evening, which is a nice touch in theory, but unfortunately we didn't think they tasted very good. On a positive note, the location was convenient and made it easy for us to explore Carmel. Overall, the hotel wasn't terrible, but it didn't meet our expectations for a special anniversary getaway given the cost. We plan to choose a different hotel the next time we visit Carmel.

Location was great. Walkable to Ocean Ave. Clean. Love the fresh cookies. Breakfast had quality breads and spreads. Green juice was yummy. Bed was comfortable. The front desk was nice enough to let me know I forgot something. I wish breakfast had more variety aside from pastries and boiled eggs. Fresh fruit would have been nice. Unfortunately there was a stain on one of the robes in the room. Walls were a bit thin. Response time via text was slow at times.
