Sonesta Essential - Baton Rouge Airport

The lady at the front desk went above and beyond trying to find us a decent room after the day staff had given our reserved and paid for room to someone else. Upon arriving after 3:00 our room still wasn’t ready due to being short staffed. We had to go to our event which was about 11:00 pm. Once we got there we learned they were fully booked and our room was given to someone else. It’s nasty. There were young people party all up and down the hallway all hours of the night. They had loud music and running room to room. There was the smell of smoke coming from other rooms into our vent all hours of the night! The bedding and towels are stained and look nasty!

Nothing Everything was wrong

The air conditioning was working good. Check In was 3, room wasn’t ready at 5, pool was filthy with bottles in it, Ice machine was filthy and the internet signal was weak.

Everything was bad. Customer service The cleaning Room doors kicked in No locks on the doors Dirty laundry piled up on the hallways and entrance Trash overflowing It stinks and smells old Blood on the sheets Bed broken All around not safe to stay

This might be the single worst hotel I’ve ever witnessed in person. The room wasn’t clean. There were no towels. The shower looks dirty. It looked like someone had stepped their dirty shoes in the bed. When I move my pillowcase, there was actual blood on the pillow and I didn’t even feel comfortable staying here so I ended up booking a different hotel. And the best part they didn’t even give me a refund after telling them how disgusting it was so they scanned me out of $268. -100/10 overall

Bad advertising Lights went out a few hours after arrival still wasn’t on the next day. Tried to get a refund because I booked for two days. I left before the checkout time on the first day and went to another hotel

I like the location. It’s the closest hotel to the BTR airport. After arriving and going to the room on the second floor. There was trash by the elevator, dirt on the walls, trash inside the elevator which was also dirty. The non smoking room smelled like freshly smoke cigarettes. The bathroom floor had dirty foot prints, the toilet cover was missing. The tv or phone didn’t work. The room had a dirty/ old look overall. The room priced at $145 when it should be $45.
