Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Bakersfield Central

I had issues with the AC around 12 am called front desk I let it ring 13 times no one answered. The next day I asked if someone was working at 12 and she said yes . So why didn’t they pick up.

It was close by all the things to do in Bakersfield. The bed was very nice and it is was a good stay altogether! .

The staff was really nice when I checked in and out. The room was clean. The a/c unit needs to be updated. It was so loud. I had to turn the tv volume up in order to hear what they were saying while the a/c unit was on. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Breakfast was fine. Juice machine did not work Bathroom needs serious updating. Shower head poor function. Several areas need fixing, updating.

Overall a good stay. The room was clean, the parking was easy and it was relatively close to the I-5 freeway (sort of). The breakfast was mediocre at best but it was free so I can’t complain too much. Bacon would have been better than the sausage patties that gave me a stomach ache later. But it was just a pit stop on our way to So Cal and it was fine for that purpose.

Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by a fantastic front desk agent who was exceptionally friendly and walked us through where breakfast and coffee were served, along with all the hotel amenities. Both the hotel and our room were spotless. This is what you hope for after a day of work and a 2 hour drive. What I didn't like at all was waking up Saturday morning to find the toilet clogged, even though we had used it the night before and it worked fine. I understand things happen in a hotel, so I called the front desk to report the issue before heading out for a couple of hours so maintenance could fix it. When we returned, a plunger had simply been left outside the room. When I went downstairs, the front desk girl told me the plunger was there for me to use myself. I told her I wasn't going to plunge the toilet myself, and she just replied, "Okay." I don't like confrontations, but at checkout, I spoke to the male desk clerk who had checked us in originally, he was very apologetic and helpful. We stayed for only one night because my child had an early soccer game Saturday morning, so having to use the lobby restroom instead of our own room's facilities was quite inconvenient.

Comfortable bed. The air-conditioning unit had a incredibly loud screech and it was hot in the room.

Rooms were very clean. No ice anywhere, not in the gym, not on the floors… some staff was amazing, some staff not so much. Rooms are clean and gym is nice.

A lot of traffic noise in our room, fifth floor. They charge for parking. Staff great. Breakfast ok. Rooms ok.

The staff was amazing me and my family loved to stay there. I bet to betty hotels, but this is one of the best

Rooms are tiny (no fault to them) should have done more research on that. Breakfast buffet was passable, coffee was great though. Would stay again but would definitely look into a bigger suite if available

The room was nice That we had to pay $10 a night for parking especially with 2 disabled family members that can no longer drive.
