Nice staff

I saw the reviews before booking and thought "it can't be that bad". Then we stayed and realized it was worse. Ended up staying the rest of our trip at another hotel. Don't make the same mistake, listen to the reviews.

“Complimentary breakfast “ was disgustingly disgusting. Lobby smells like mold. Toilet leaking. Bathroom light wasn’t working. Meh, stay elsewhere
-
I liked the location in town near the capital. The beds were comfortable I didn't like that guest have to pay for parking. The hotel is very outdated. The shower head leaked so water spewed all over the bathroom. Refrigerator had thick ice in the freezer section.
-
Very convenient location for Moody Center
-
Staff was amazing! Room was sufficient.

I tried calling hotel hours before arrival to see if we can get indoor rooms because they have rooms with entry from outdoors I couldn’t get a hold of them I texted them never got a response just an overall horrible experience had to cancel and just stay elsewhere I had never experienced that with La Quinta I think they should have surprised visits and explore this run down section and have them renovate or demolish honestly a roach hotel

The air conditioning worked great considering the Texas heat and the thermostat hanging out of the wall.
-
When went to breakfast an hour before the breakfast was to close; no more mix for waffles (breakfast 6-9, I went at 8). Another woman in breakfast lounge commented to her husband worst experience; she stated it was "worse than a dump".

Serves basically as a comfortable place to sleep at night. Not a place to hang out, but if you're out all day, it fills the bill. Breakfast is fairly basic, but considering the price of the hotel, pretty decent. One minor complaint; my room had a desk but no chair; staff said they would bring one in, but never did.
-
Place is a dump. Peeling paint, dirty walls, dingy/old furnishings, generally unclean appearance. I didn’t even want to sit in the desk chair in my room it was so disgusting. Needs a complete refresh ASAP.

Location is great. Near good restaurants/bar. Places of interest. The facilities seemed quite old and in need of maintenance. Some things were not working properly, and there was a slight smell of dampness. The bathroom towels were very small, and the hair dryer did not work. There was almost never anyone at the front desk, and when staff were present, they often seemed to be in a bad mood. The elevators were also very old and clearly showed a lack of proper maintenance. Overall, the property feels like it could use significant updates and better upkeep.

Location was good. price was good. Breakfast was okay. The common areas were dirty. The elevator had trash. The common areas were not cleaned. The painting of the elevators was in poor condition and the floor level was painted over. The light of the desk in the room did not work. I couldn't turn off the light in the bathroom. Two thirds of the room number outside the door was missing. There were beer cans in the stairwell closest to the room. The room couldn't be reached by the stairwell since the card reader didn't work. The front desk failed to tell me how to get to my room (they could have at least pointed to the elevator 10 ft away from the front desk)
-
Lobby smelled like vomit, elevators were very dirty with cleaning items and trash left in them, the TV in our room didn't work and one of the lights in the bathroom didn't work

Fix and clean your property. 3 rooms with lights not working, 2 rooms we couldn't enter — door key batteries dead, 1 room not cleaned after the prior guest, bathroom door water-damaged and wouldn't close, no room number on the door, hole in the door, broken and damaged furniture. Frustrating to pay for a US hotel in worse condition than hotels I've stayed in in third-world countries. Disgusting place. AVOID!!!

The staff was great. The property and rooms were disgustingly filthy. The beds were stained & gross. There was vomit in the stairwell from the garage to the hotel entrance. The bathtub had bugs coming out of drain when I turned on the shower. There weren’t any grippers on the bottom of the tub & nothing to hold on to when getting in & out of tub. The cost was ridiculously high for such a filthy place.

Ideal location, but very sketchy place. AC did not work. 3 inch gap at the bottom of the outside door. TV did not work, and very very cheap sheets.
