DoubleTree by Hilton Austin - University Area

I was overcharged. Called three separate times still haven’t got a response. The front desk staff basically didn’t have a clue besides one person, Gabby. She was amazing. Everybody else seemed like they were being burdened to me at work.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant was great. Parking is expensive.

Location was great to get to the Moody Center

I expected more in terms of room amenities like complimentary breakfast, notepad and pen in room and water in room for the rate I paid for a one night stay.. Pad and pen in room. Room ac was old and smelled musty and was loud. Overall, room seemed to need refreshing. I love location and the lobby seemed to have been upgraded and was comfortable as a place to wait for Vonlane Bus

The stay was fine. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The cleaning product smell was fairly strong. There is no bathroom near the pool which was a huge inconvenience. The breakfast buffet was nice but overpriced. We walked across the parking lot to Denny's and had a delicious breakfast for much less the price. We had wished the bar was open for longer hours. The noise from the freeway was pretty loud.

I had a toilet that needed repair. It could not be adequately fixed, but staff provided another room and other amenities. They were very responsive.

Staff member Gabi was very friendly and professional. She was quick with the Double Tree cookies and info about Austin. One issue was the elevator, might need some maintenance.

We chose this property due to the price and its proximity to the Moody Amphitheater for a concert. Room was clean and spacious. Staff was professional and very helpful.

Every thing was clean, our toilet was cracked and leaking, we were moved rooms but it was smaller and the toilet in there was also cracked just not yet leaking. Overall a good stay, staff were friendly and accommodating when we needed to move rooms.

The room was musty. I slept terribly and woke up with a sore throat and stuffy nose.
