Beautiful and clean! Staff is so friendly, food and drinks are expensive so be prepared for that but overall the best resort on the Island!

Great experience Nothing

Stunning property, and excellent services. Perfect location in terms of having a private cove that is protected and great for relaxing. A beautiful pool setup and my favorite was the separate adult pool. Wonderful food at Canoe House with Chef Rhoda’s menu. There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

It was an amazing stay, the beach, the restaurants and the amenities they were all beyond expectations. The only downside is the high fee for the shaded beach beds which I was not expecting an additional charge especially after paying such a high room rate.

Exceptional facility. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Ambiance was very romantic with live local music playing during the day and at night. Lots of beaches and areas to explore and enjoy the beauty of the landscaping. Plenty of activities and different places to eat. But hands down, the employees are what put this place over the top. Very genuine! And they took excellent care of us which made it a very special experience. Love this place.

This is a beautifully designed and well located hotel, the problem was the amount of wild children running around and screaming at all times. I thought maybe it was all one group but it seems that numerous groups were there or random kids just joined in the chaos. Super not relaxing.

Room was clean and had turn down service. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Pool and beach were beautiful and well kept.

Another magical stay at the most beautiful property in all of the islands. We come every year!

We had a great experience from check in through check out. Our room was upgraded at check in to a room with an ocean view and we were given fresh lei’s. Our room key was in the form of a waterproof bracelet so we didn’t have to worry about carrying a card with us. The resort was beautiful. We enjoyed the pool and had wonderful service poolside. What we didn’t expect was how great the snorkeling was off the beach that is about a 10 minute walk from property. We had dinner at the restaurant on their property, the Canoe House. We reserved a table there well in advance and was the original reason we decided to stay at this resort. The head chef was the winner of the most recent season of Top Chef. The staff was helpful throughout the stay. Whenever we looked like we needed help, one of the staff would stop and give us information. They offered both self and valet parking. We chose self park because we wanted easy access to our car and it was convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay here again on another trip to the big island.

We also appreciated the well stocked market for coffee, snacks and gifty items. We did not use the spa, but it smelled wonderful on our way to the gym. The Goop store is an excellent touch and the hotel boutique had a great selection of mens and women's bathing suits, hats, sunglasses, totes, jewelry, dresses and purses. They had a small section for kids. The closest mall 'nearby', where the Tommy Bahama restaurant was, is not worth going to unless you need a grocery store. Most retail stores were for rent. There was another shopping area near Waikoloa (Kings and Queens market) with lot's of options and the famous Shave Ice! Note - we did not make restaurant reservations prior to arriving, and we paid the price. We either had zero availability at places we wanted to go, or got stuck with unfavorable time options. It all worked out fine, but we had three dinner meals at their beach bar (which does have a famous chef behind it) - the food was delicious! *Definitely make a Canoe House resy a month or few weeks out. Merriman's is another to get into.

Halekani breakfast was decent. Avoid everything else.

The staff went above and beyond to make every part of our stay memorable. Everyone was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and offered everything we needed. We especially loved the easy access to the beach, amazing snorkeling, gorgeous sunsets, and the variety of activities nearby. Every day felt like a dream, and the entire resort exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a luxurious, relaxing Hawaiian getaway, I can’t recommend Mauna Lani Resort enough. It truly is a special place, and we can’t wait to come back. Mahalo for an unforgettable vacation!

Absolutely perfect stay! Gorgeous property, Aloha spirit amongst all the staff with personalized concierge experience, out of this world snorkeling and sea life on the beach of the property, free snorkeling rentals, and lots of perks like kids eat free and daily complimentary cocktails. Our party of 8 ranging from 4 to 72 loved every minute here.
