This is my second trip to the Fairmont Orchid. The beach and pool are lovely. The food is fabulous. The grounds are immaculate. The outdoor spa can't be beat with the sound of the running water. I had picked the Orchid originally because I wanted a place my husband would enjoy while I was off scuba diving. With my cousin with me (who also dives), I sometimes wished we were closer to the harbor. But, the Orchid really can't be beat for a beautiful spot to enjoy (and it is close to some of the lovely state beaches to the north -- not that you need to go to them given the lovely cove with drinks service!!) Oh! And if you happen to be there on a "talk story" weekend at the nearby Eva Parker Woods Cottage, you should go!

Nice location, grounds are pretty. Room was bare and lackluster, no slippers, staff did not go out of their way for anything.

The staff, food and view were incredible. The room could be cleaner we were upgraded to a suite for an extra cost and the sink knobs were rusted, the tub was growing mold in small areas and glass doors and closer mirror doors were not clean. We stayed for 5 nights and used the dining table often it was never cleaned the entire time we were there. We also encounter large cockroaches at the gift shop and near the room. Made staff aware right before checking out and their response was thank you we will pass it on to management,

Snorkeling was wonderful on property. The pool was beautiful. The grounds were well maintained and luscious. Food at the pool was delicious. Breakfast buffet was OK. Balcony lounge food could be improved.
