Courtyard by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront/South

The pull out sofa bed (couch) has a foul smell. This furniture should be professionally deep steamed cleaned. I’m embarrassed to state what it really smelled like! The balcony sliding door is rusty as I could see the rust on the track! The track should be steam cleaned and WD-40 is a must! The door was very difficult to slide back & forth. I damn near pulled my arm out of socket and if I wasn’t careful, I could have broken my freshly done manicured nails! The slow running sink water in bathroom . The carpet should be steamed cleaned. Carpet stunk and nasty! For that price for a SUITE; I expected soo much more Courtyard Marriott on 25th & Atlantic is slipping!

Overall the hotel was ok. Our towel rack came off the wall there first night there and even though we told staff that night, it was never fixed. The shower had not been cleaned well because someone else’s body hair was still there. The breakfast offering was lackluster- not a whole lot of options and we had to ask for coffee- no access to it.

Room was good and everything was neat and clean. The air conditioning was leaking onto the carpet around the unit.

Location to the beach. On-site Starbucks. Breakfast options were limited and should have been free in my opinion. Hallways were very hot. AC unit is old and very loud. Rooms were small and cramped. Housekeeping was limited and had to repeatedly ask for sheets, pillows, blankets.

This was a great option if you like suites as it is more reasonable than others and we had two balconies as well. It needs updating but not a lot. Wish they did breakfast included. But overall honestly a great place.

Everything was great very reasonable for a suite. The only negative is update bathroom. Staff was awesome. Wish it just included breakfast instead of it being extra. They could outdo other places with a simple real breakfast of egg anyway, bacon or sausage fruit coffee toast. Didn’t use gym but it looked nice and didn’t use indoor pool but that was clean.

Staff provided 3 options for breakfast stating they were included in the room fee then after checking out was charged for the expensive buffet.

With no sofa bed. Swimming pool was dirty. The entrance shower from the beach side was broken. Horrible place.

The location- ocean front, close to restaurants and to the Funk Fest!!! Easy beach access!! My TV got stuck and won’t respond to the remote.

Room was cleaned, great view,plenty of parking and very helpful staff.
