I reserved this room back in November of 2025 for a one night stay on 9-11-26. The day before my stay on 9-10-26 I received an email saying the hotel was under renovation and I was being moved to the Hyatt Place hotel. No other details on the new hotel. I booked this hotel because it was within walking distance to the Cynthia Woods pavilion. So the night before I leave I have to figure out which Hyatt Place hotel and is it as close. It was not so now I had to pay for parking. More notice pmease

This hotel, The Hilton Garden Inn was not open for business the night of my booked stay through Booking.com for Aug 6th. Apparently, they are remodeling. I did not get any notification of this from Booking.com and received a cancelation email from the hotel the morning of my stay. I called the hotel that morning several times and the phone was busy. I then called what appeared to be a Booking.com number that I found on the internet. I was told the booking was not confirmed and the charges would be $151 more dollars on top of what I had already agreed to pay to "Reissuance Authorization for Booking.com". Of course, when I showed up at the hotel later that evening, it was closed for business.

At the time property was being renovated, with some demolition above had to leave as we where informed that the work would continue until 7:00PM and decided to leave and asked for a refund. No manager on site and we ended up loosing our money. When hotels are under renovation, it has to be disclosed prior. Hotels.com gave $25 quick cash back, but overall lost money.

Also, some small breakfast is usually provided to guests. Certainly a $20 breakfast was excessive!!! And $3 water in room , are you kidding? Incidentals??? I don’t think so??
