Hilton Pennywell St. Louis at the Arch

Room was too small for twin queens. Carpet stained, Bed top cover was stained. $$$ a nite for self parking at garage is robbery. Then got charged $$$ to get Out of garage. That charge did get reversed after call to hotel. We are Hilton fans. This hotel needs a deep re do. Too many other hotels nearby that do a much better job in all areas, especially foodservice. We were there for an event at The Dome, which was attended by close to 60,000 people. Maybe Pennywell didn’t get the memo? In any event, when we’re in St. Louis again this summer, we will pass on this Hilton.

The worst Hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Absolutely disgusting. Toilet was covered in throw up from previous guest. Bedding was not cleaned, stains all over. Shower and towels had other guest hair. The smell of cigarette smoke permeated the room, when it was non smoking. Do not recommend.

If you are looking for a place to just sleep and be close to the Arch this hotel is fine. It has a bar with two tv’s if you want to relax. Otherwise, minimal amenities.

For one thing everything we needed was in walking distance. The room was spacious and clean. And the bathroom had arm rails and a shower chair and everything for older people and the tub wasn't so tall that you had to climb in it was I can't think of anything.

Will definitely stay again.

Walking distance from Busch stadium and the arch plenty of fun and entertaining things do do downtown!! Will continue to stay there every visit

Shortly after checking in on our first night, we found a live cockroach in our room. The following morning, housekeeping entered our room without knocking and told us we were supposed to be checked out that day. We were not scheduled to check out, and the situation was only corrected after the employee realized the mistake. To the hotel's credit, the staff listened to our concerns and offered Hilton Honors points as compensation, which we accepted. However, several days after checkout, those points had still not been credited. We also discovered charges on our final bill for valet parking, a city parking tax, and a "Pennydrop fee." We did not have a car at the hotel and had specifically told staff at check-in that we would be using Uber/Lyft. We also had free breakfast included with our Expedia reservation. When my wife contacted the hotel, we were told that the disputed charges would be reversed, but the charges have since posted to our credit card and have not been removed. Overall, while the staff was pleasant and made verbal commitments to address our concerns, those commitments had not been fulfilled as of the time of this review. Between the cockroach, the housekeeping privacy issue, and the unresolved billing and points problems, our experience was extremely disappointing and we would not recommend this property.

Excepttional experstation.

Recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pennywheel hotel. The staff was excellent, self parking and valet were readily available. The hotel is a 5-7 min walk from St Louis arch as well as Busch stadium. It is also centrally located near major highways so you can explore other parts if the city and state.
