Surfcomber On The Ocean

Great location near beach and one of few family owned hotels in the area.

I like the location it is next to the ocean and also it is very quiet and relaxing . I enjoyed the stay . I had stay twice at this facility . Also the WiFi works very good at the room and at the pool area . I didn’t like that the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant it will be very convenient.

Loved being so close to the private beach

Rooms were VERY SMALL for the amount we paid. Would have liked more amenities. I don't feel like we got a good deal for the amount we paid. Also, there really wasn't much of a variety to eat or drink without a car.

The location was great, right on the beach. The room was clean and there were plenty of towels. No iron in the room, had to go to the office. We were surprised that there was no lifeguard on the beach. Can't really think of anything major.

The wooden recliners out back. They are painful to sit on.

Excellent location. The views of the ocean were beautiful. We paid over $1600 for two nights in the oceanfront unit, which turned out to be extremely overpriced and disappointing. The unit smelled badly of mold and had a huge ant infestation. The ants were all over the kitchen and my daughter even woke up to ants crawling on her in bed. We let several staff members know about the ant problem, but no one seemed to care. One staff member said that a manager would contact us, but that has not happened. For the amount that they are charging, it would seem that they could at least pretend to care when there’s an issue.

I love that the property is on the beach, but also has a swimming pool. The rooms are clean and everyone’s friendly. I also like that it doesn’t get too busy at this particular location. I’ve stayed at other locations nearby that are far more busy and crowded, and that’s not what I’m looking for when I go on vacation. I love the Surfcomber so much that we come back here year after year as a family.

Issues with TV. Although it took awhile the staff kept at it until the issues were addressed.

Right on the ocean! Super clean. Nothing to NOT like about property. Stay was excellent, staff wonderful and helpful. Only thing: Wish the main lobby opened up a little earlier ( or could be accessed via key?) so that coffee could be had without running the in-room Keurig machine, which is noisy. Woke up rest of party in the room . Otherwise it’s a quick drive out to D&D.

Pool hours prevent late night swim. (Closes @ 7:30pm).

The area was close to restaurants and stores. Staff is very helpful. Beds need new mattresses. People on second floor dumped water thru our first floor roof pouring water all over our chairs and outside area so we couldn't use it.

Location is perfect, property is meticulously maintained. Rooms aren’t fancy but have everything you need. Bathroom is updated.

the location was great for our, travel to surrounding areas. the bathroom tub was not drain as it should, by the time you finished showering you had water up to our ankles.

Being on the ocean Coffee maker out dated would like to have a small breakfast area with toaster . Newer coffee maker
