Staff are helpful and kind. Coffee in the morning is excellent and appreciated. Bar Esper serves a delicious and well priced breakfast.

I booked a Standard Room with a King-size bed, but the actual bed appeared to be Queen-size, or possibly even smaller. When I raised the issue with the front desk, I was told, “This is our King size.” I was quite surprised by this response, as it gives the impression that the hotel can advertise a smaller bed as a King simply based on its own definition. Breakfast is not included and is charged separately. Even after paying extra, the breakfast options are very limited—you get only one item, either a burger or a sandwich, along with one small glass of fruit juice. That is all. Another disappointment was the lack of coffee availability. Many hotels provide complimentary coffee around the front desk throughout the day, but here coffee is available only between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM. There is also no coffee machine in the room. Overall, while the hotel was clean, the misleading room/bed description, very limited breakfast, and restricted coffee availability made the experience less satisfactory than expected.

Don t book via booking platform! Very disappointing experience. I booked and received confirmation for a room with one bed, but we were given two separate beds. I was travelling with my husband, so this was not what we booked or wanted. The hotel and booking platform simply referred us back to each other, and nothing was resolved. I would not book through this platform again.

Room was very nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would have been nice to have a coffee/tea maker in the room.

Friendly staff. However, no coffee machine in room, and the lights switches didn't do anything. You had to turn each light on and off individually.

Had a great time in the hotel. It is my second time, and is still an amazing hotel like the last time. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Location is the best, walking distance to most areas I like to go to. Will definitely be back when I come back in San Francisco.

Hotel Spero is a must stay in San Francisco! This recently renovated boutique hotel is intentionally designed and decorated to make you feel right at home. The rooms were very clean, bohemian, and had air conditioning which is hard to find in SF. Absolutely loved my experience and would stay again!

Perfect hotel downtown, in a walking distance to all the places of interest and landmarks , good breakfast you have to order it on the menu even when included. Complementary tea, coffee in the lobby.

I want the tea and coffee bar for 24 hours

The location is very convenient and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Only thing is the DT area is quite dirty, with lots of homeless around but that is with any hotel that you stay in this area, so not preventable if you want the convenient of staying in Union Square.
