MainStay Suites Raleigh - Cary

Roaches, trash everywhere. Alarm in my room kept going off. Way to much movement all times of the night. I told staff about the door in between my room the guest was opening the door I thought they were coming into my room. I was on the 3rd floor my it sounded like someone was over me watching my every move. Please take caution!!!

The location was great had no problems with any noise issues . Well first from us checking in late do..to our arrival went in did our walk through and everything was ok……accept the stains on the walls and cracks of the bathroom floor. So as we proceed to take showers the floor started getting muddy look comes to find out the floor was dirty. And then early in the morning started see baby bugs crawling out over the microwave opened the cabinet and was (socket) was covered with ROACHES!!!! Checked under the bed it was dirty along with few pieces of paper on floor when we got there.Went to tell front desk the guy asked what would I like to do and was never offered another room til… late night staff came in . STAY OUT OF Room 110 please run!!!!

The staff was very pleasant and professional at check in and out the team answered any questions we had during our approach. The entire hotel can use a good remodel I mean a good remodel from end to end. The carpets on the hallway and bedroom look old and dirty of the wear and tear. The room ceiling painting is pealing off. The toilet in side room looks like it was leaning to the right. The closet door as well as the window are in bad shape. The window screen was broken. The bed sheets and pillows are were out and even though they smelled clean they look yellowing due to the age of them. Also all of the appliances are outdated and the refrigerator is so loud it wakes you up through out the night.

Its a halfway house and it is deplorable to ever be advertised as a place to stay. Aggressive ghetto reception was arguing with a woman about monthly rent. After 15 minutes I asked about my reservation and she got upset raised her voice and aggressive attitude towards me. It was ghetto, a travelers worst nightmare and broken dishwashers in the lobby.

The front desk receptionist Mrs. B , checked me in. She is very funny n kind I didn't like the overall hotel, everything is outdated, carpets need to be changed, toilet wouldn't flush, wall need to be painted. I only reason I stayed was bkuz it was non-refundable.

In the room, there was black hair on the sheets, on the pillows, on the towels, inside the bathtub, and the pillows smelled bad as if someone had already used them. It was very uncomfortable to stay in that bed, but I went to look for the person at the front desk and they weren't there, and it was already very late, so I had to stay there for the night. Very bad nightmare

Bed bugs present. Did not stay but still paid. So unhappy this location looked fine but take caution. Please check behind headboards and check boxsprings. Good luck. Again I did not stay. The bed bugs scared me.

The room didn’t have pots and pans to cook. The ice maker wasn’t connected and telephone didn’t work in room. Shower head was molded need to be changed.

It was close to where I needed to be Room was filthy. Ceiling in bathroom was falling on us. A/C leaked and left carpet soaking wet in over half the room. No blow dryer and they couldn’t provide one. Found multiple dead roaches in hallways,lobby. Trash all over outside of hotel. Lots of people loitering outside throughout the evening/night. Did not feel safe walking outside after dark. Staff was nice but not helpful.

But upon entering into the second room, smh. Omg! The smoke detector was hanging out the wall. The a/c was broken, and the water was rusted when pouring. Seemed like they downgraded me in terms of the quality of the room?! Then I found smudges of what seemed like blood AGAIN on the comforter set!!! I was too tired to complain, so I waited upon checking out to say something. Seems as though no one is cleaning the comforter sets in these rooms! This is the short cut I was referring to in the hotel industry. I see why I only did 4/5 star hotels. There is a clear difference! This is what I get for being CHEAP! Never again. OH AND THEY DONT SERVE BREAKFAST, ONLY COFFEE. Thank u to the lady at the front desk. She tried to help me but I want a partial REFUND. I’ve spent too much money to be sleeping on dirty linen.
