Did not use. My key card would not work. Made 2 trips to front deck for help. Front deck clerk was wonderful, but as frustrated as I was. Ice machine on my floor did not work.

The bathtub collects dirt because there is a plastic sheet stuck to the bottom, where hair, waste, and grime accumulate. Additionally, the A/C unit broke down in the middle of the night, and I was moved to a different room.

Property needs to be updated.

COSMETICALLY THIS AN OLDHOTEL THAT NEEDS WORK. THREADBARE CARPETS AND CHAIR COVERS. NOT HAMPTON FIRST RATE. HILTON SHOULD BE ASHAMED.
-
The carpet was musty smelling in room. Pool out of order. Elevator is super slow.

The staff were very professional and helpful in all areas of the hotel. The only issue that I experienced was with the outdated carpet had a old smell and the pool was closed.

Pool closed. 5&10 lb was missing. Rugs and chairs and sofas very worn and dirty

Pool was closed and has been FOR A YEAR! This is the ONLY reason we booked here because it was hot and my family was going to spend time in the outdoor pool. The CHATHAM COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT shut it down July 2025 for failure to comply. Which means booking.com is false advertising and Hilton has allowed this to be unanswered for a YEAR!! In addition, there were signs for vending and ice machine. Great! Only there was no vending and the ice machine didn't work.

I remember when Hamton Inn was a sure-bet for cost-effective option for a short stay. It was a classier place than most found randomly off of I-95. But Hampton Inn has lost a bit of its luster in recent days. First, our room was not ready. This was a minor inconvenience and the woman at the front desk was very sweet and apologetic. But when we finally did get into our room, the smell was terrible. I don't know what the cleaning agents were that they were using, but the smell was objectively bad for about 2 hours after we entered the room. More importantly, we booked the hotel at least in part to swim in the pool on the one night we stayed. Unfortunately the pool was covered in a layer of scum and was closed, perhaps condemned. The rear door of the hotel was covered with a piece of plywood, with broken glass shards along its frame. Looked like it might have recently had police tape surrounding it. But breakfast was good. I will again emphasize that the staff were great. All of them were pleasant and attentive. We slept well and were on our way. So, not a nightmare, but hardly worth the money we paid for 2 rooms.
