Holiday Inn Pensacola - University Area by IHG

I liked the Lobby area and the Bar on site Poor cleanliness, room and hallways smelled musty! Bathroom shower caulking had mold and I checked out early because my room smelled, sheets were dirty and this made my stay very uncomfortable.

Location was close to the freeway. Pool was nice and big. After we got our new room on a new floor we had no issues. Young lady at check in was not friendly. Our room had a roach in it and toilet seat was broken. When I went down to complain the counter girl was coming back from looking at another room that someone complained about being dirty also. She immediately gave us another larger room and we had no issues after that. Both employees did not seem surprised after I told them about the dirty room. Paid extra for breakfast that was bad. Wouldn't have eaten it for free. What we paid definitely not worth it.

Been staying here for years, nowhere in any website did it say the hot tub had been closed down. Lots of issues, front desk never answered phone. No body wash in shower- empty. No blow dryer in room

Bathroom was supplied with everything as expected. Staff solved problems and concerns in a timely manner. When we first got to room it was very stuffy from something being wrong with air conditioning panel and the floor was a slipping hazard like it was cleaned with armor all or something oily.

Checked in young lady at the front desk attitude was terrible I wanted to add the breakfast to my tap which I knew was possible because if you don’t do it at check in it’s higher the morning of the lady tells me I can’t my changes to bookings with hotels.com I explained I stayed at this hotel April 2025 no issues she told me things may have changed she just got back to work. Get to the room everything was nice and clean. Realized the bathroom sink stopper was broken Saturday morning about 11am before leaving for the day I told the young lady at desk so somebody could fix it I returned back at 11pm nothing had been done I go back down stairs another lady at the front desk tells me nothing had been reported and repair guy was gone for the night. To double down on my frustration we had no towels for the night completely out I ask again Sunday morning and the same young lady who didn’t report the sink tells e they still out of towels and offers 10 dollars off! I don’t want money off I want clean towels. She tells me a hour and brings them to the room. Personally I like the hotel but staff is horrible!
