Jazz friendly hotel, we ditched our previous hotel reservation due to the lack of hotel cleanliness/rude staff. After a long drive and a last minute booking to the hotel they accommodated our request for an early morning check-in.

Great service clean hotel with great amenities

Everyone was very kind and friendly. There was a small problem I had and when going to the front desk, they kindly got the manager, Oscar and he was able to help the situation and was accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel to any and everyone wanting to stay in Monterey!!

Very friendly and quiet

The room was just ok nothing special for the price you pay i expected it to be a bit more furnished. No drinking water, plain room. It is far from main entrance and we wanted to take an uber to a wedding but had to walk a distance up hill to main entrance to catch the uber, in dress clothes and high hill shoes. I would not recommend this place.

Very nice finishes in the room. Lobby was well done and comfortable with ample choices for seating. It’s clear the property has been renovated in recent years. I’ve stayed here before and it’s much nicer than it was. Hyatt did a good job.

Came for an anniversary with my partner, and honestly was the best choice we could’ve made. Loved the room and amenities. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. A huge shout out to Diego, when we told him we were there for our anniversary, he made us feel very special.

The property is in a great location The property is dated, old, basic and it’s not five star by any stretch. The charge for the room per night is astronomical compared to the facilities. Everything needs updating!

Great amenities for the whole family. We love Monterey, so that doesn’t hurt. Great location, expansive layout. I also hosted a training near by and 10 team members each booked at the hotel as well. We enjoyed the cafe in main lobby. A couple people commented on above average lattes. The jacuzzi was a little funky/dirty we noticed though it was shut down for repair the next day. The hotel felt like a great balance between corp aportal and family amenities. I would recommend to both families and business travelers.

Con: The rooms are a bit dated and dark even if you have a patio. We weren't in the room that much but I recommend you have all your lights on when you are in there otherwise it's a bit depressing. However, the friendliness of the staff, the nice lobby and grounds, and the convenience of the location were able to make our stay very nice.
