Red Lion Inn & Suites Missoula

Convenient to the area .

Dog room stunk, carpet loose. Asked to try a different room, the desk lady had tons of attitude. The 2nd room was better, but shower had pink mold on foot surface. Old unlicensed motor home in parking lot. We ended up sleeping in our camper, felt cleaner and safer. Paint peeling off building, a lot of people wandering through the parking lot after dark, Missoula is a great town, but this hotel seems to be where homeless hangout. . Very unfriendly desk clerk.

Comfy beds and big rooms. Very affordable and a good location.

The first room I tried to check into, looked like someone had just gotten out of bed. I then asked for another room, which looked fine at first. Then we went into the bathroom and there was mold around the tub, the corner of the drywall looked wet, and there was a large gash in the wall that had been taped with clear tape so you could see inside the wall. Will never stay at a Red Lion ever again!!

Exterior of building is pretty run down. Room was fairly clean, but it needs some updating. Chair was dirty. The hotel is on a good location though and was quiet.

It's old and ran down it needs updated the ceiling in the bathroom was dripping water and it was dripping worse just before we left there was a seam open into the sheet rock in the bathroom there was hair in the shower. There was two of us staying in the room and one of us was getting there before the other I called ahead to let them know that but they wouldn't allow anyone else in the room until the other person was there so I had to change the reservation online

The bathroom was filthy, everything the door, the shower head, the bath tub... Gross

What used to be a beautiful facility in a nice part of town has become rundown and is now not a very nice area.

Old and worn out. Rooms are very spartan and not well maintained. If you are only looking for a cheap, one nite stay, this place will do.

One drawer wouldn’t stay closed so kept walking into it in room 1. Or 100 or 101. First room ADA.

Overall great experience

Gang graffiti on buildings. Broken and loose tile in bathroom. Wallpaper peeling of the wall. Porcelain chips in bathtub. Overall very rundown condition. Bad neighborhood with many vagrants. Decent price, but uncomfortable sense of security.

I’m not even sure why this hotel is under the red lion name. I stay in a lot of red lions and this was by far the worst red lion I have even stayed in, in my life. Why would they take over such a dilapidated building and slap the red lion name on it. The photos of the property looked nothing like photos online on hotels.com it was in very poor condition falling apart. There were very shady neighbours living about a block away homeless and doing drugs. The parking lot and area didn’t seem safe. The room was in very poor condition falling apart, lightbulbs were not functioning, plug ins were not functioning. The shower and bathroom were rotting in areas and very visibly destroyed by not being updated in any sort of update or renovation. The only thing ok about the room was the bed! The bed was great it was comfortable which is a quality I usually expect from a red lion hotel. I will be careful when booking red lion hotels in the future only sticking to my return red lion hotels. I would tell anyone with any common decency and respect for the red lion brand to stay away from here. Hopefully an upgrade to the property might be considered in the future before slapping a red lion name on a hotel like this.

The property is old but it was clean, comfortable, and affordable. I was happy with our stay. The front desk people were courteous. There was a simple breakfast available of coffee,

Staff were friendly and helpful, but property was very dirty and very dated! Seriously needs updating a few coats of paint would go a long way and cleaning the baseboards and corners in the room hasn’t been done in years. Stairs are outside, and need a serious cleaning too. They are covered so that can’t be the reason they look so bad.

The room smelled, the bed wasn’t done right, sheets and pillow cases were so wrinkled and did not smell fresh, the building is falling apart, the hallway and the hotel in general was dirty! The tv remote control and hair dryer were missing! The front desk clerk in the morning was putting make up on and not minding the needs of the clients!

This property was so incredibly run down. The room door would barely open or close and a screw was hanging loose. The bathroom was incredibly gross. There was visible mold, the toilet was not clean. The responses from the owner on all these reviews are comical. It is quite obvious you do not “seek improvement or strive for cleanliness”. I wish i would have looked at these photos & read reviews before booking!!

This hotel is in dire need of a deep clean and some updates. The room was pretty clean, but definitely showing signs of age with peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and a shower pan so old we wore flip flops while showering. We only stayed one night so it was tolerable, but with so many hotel options in downtown Missoula, I'd spend a bit more and stay at a nicer place in the future. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Staff was very helpful but the property is tired. We had to get staff help to get the TV to work. The shower didn't work. No coffee in the room. It didn't meet my standards for comfort while traveling.
