Check in was at 3pm. We showed up at 3:45 and got told the room still wasn't ready. They switched our room so we could get settled. I get upstairs and open up the room just to find other people already staying in that room. I go and get ANOTHER (this is the 3rd room now) room just to find the ceiling has water damage and is cracking and you have to flush the toilet 4-5 times just to get toilet paper to go down. The elevator kept getting stuck and would sound an alrm for 10-15 minutes before starting to work again. Extremely disappointed with the hotel especially since all the reviews I saw said it was amazing. Spend the extra money and got somewhere else!

Got to the hotel to check in and the rear elevator was not working order. Get into my room and the thermostat wasn't lighting up to control the temperature in the room. It was about 1 o'clock in the morning so I just went to sleep. Woke up the next morning to find chunks of long black women's hair all over the walls in the shower. Walking around the room with socks I picked up tons of long women's hair as if the place hasn't been vacuumed in weeks. Definitely a horrible experience.

Early check in was nice..no fee..front desk was super nice..however they put us in a room that was being worked on. When we arrived the door was open and we assumed they were just finishing cleaning. Checked room..the tub was terribly old and rusty/stained. Not super picky so it was fine...then while unpacking a guy walked right in. Stated he was working on the tub. Asked if we were checking out next day..we were so he stated he would fix it when we left. After he left we noticed secondary door lock missing. That was not good..but there was still 1 lock. Shower was hot and pressure good so no real issue with tub other than cosmetic. Middle of the nite neighbor turned music super loud...attempted to call front desk..phone inop! Half asleep had to google phone number...front desk successful in getting music turned down. Overall decent stay..beds could have been softer but that's just preference.

We stayed three nights and it was a comedy of errors — except it stopped being funny somewhere around the spider. Check-in was a preview of the whole stay. The first room we were given wasn't the room type we booked. When we went back to the desk and asked for what we'd reserved (matching the pictures on the site), we were told "we don't have those" — so the photos being used to sell rooms are apparently not accurate. Second room, also wrong. Third room was finally acceptable, except the smoke alarm was chirping the whole time. At that point we were laughing. Cleanliness was rough. Dirty floors, a genuinely nasty shower curtain, dust and grime behind the sink faucets, and visible stains on the furniture (photos attached). And on night one, a spider crawled on me while I was asleep. The building has problems, too. One elevator was out of order the entire stay. The other elevator was working, but not safely — it did not feel okay to be in. The ice machines were broken. The coffee machine in the lobby was broken all three days. None of the TVs in our rooms had remotes. And the small stuff kept piling on. We came back from an errand one afternoon and our room keys had been deactivated for no reason we were given. Staff at the desk were not friendly about any of it. One last thing. Bonvoy (which owns Best Western) will not credit points or stay credits for reservations booked through Expedia — worth knowing before you book

The property had a fire watch sign on the front door. The staff said it was due to a failed inspection of their sprinkler system and it had been fixed; but the fire chief had not been back to clear the property. The pool was dirty so opted out of that. There was no hot tub. Multiple light fixtures had no bulbs. The ac was not adjustable on temperature and I could only turn on the fan. The room was clean. I enjoyed soft hot water but had to take a tub bath as I couldn’t switch it to shower. Breakfast was scant and opted out of that too.

Our room a/c wasn’t working properly. To,d them and the front desk person and maintenance man came. Both agreed 81 degrees was unacceptable and said we could move. About 10 minutes later when I asked about moving the front desk manager said he had just rented the last room after knowing he needed to move us. Sent another a/c man and he got it temporarily working enough for us to sleep. We knew we would be out of the room all the next day so didn’t ask about moving. The room was ok that night. Not surprised that no one bothered to inquire about the situation.

The ONLY thing good about this hotel was that it was in a decent location. The photos online were very misleading! There's a fire watch sign posted on their door and the employee said the fire marshall had them place it on the door due to not being up to code. They had to "leave the sign on the door until it was inspected again". Very scary! The hallways smelled horrible! The room was creepy, dirty, dark, looked like someone sat on the bed before we arrive, old broken phone laying on the floor, stains all over the carpet, a/c would not turn on. The elevator was not working and we had to walk a very long walk to the other working elevator and it sounded like it was going to break on us at any given moment!! TONS of red flags! We immediately changed our mind and requested a refund and they told us to contact Booking.com. I did and spoke to a gentleman while I was in the parking lot because the BW employee was upset that we did not want to stay there and wanted a refund! I booked another hotel w/a MUCH BETTER experience somewhere else in Lubbock!! I am still having trouble obtaining a refund as BW employees are not speaking to Booking.com customer service as being prompted to!

The bed was broken and we rolled to the side. The water pressure was spitting and bubbling out of the sink

The hotel is old needs renovations. Floors were not vacuumed, holes in the bed sheets along with markings/stains on the top bed comforter, shower head would not turn on & stains on the bathroom wall.
-
I liked the spacious room. Urgent need of deep cleaning. The tub was gross, the bed duvet was dirty. The bathroom vent had no vent frame.
-

Very clean and friendly staff pool was dirty but looked great rooms very comfy
-
Only hand towels provided, one was dirty, old contact lens on the floor, mold in the bath tub, tub didn’t drain.
-
When entering the room it was 82 degrees. It cooled down after turning on the air but it took hours. The toilet constantly ran water and wouldn’t flush. I had to use the bathroom in the lobby.
