Pacific Edge Hotel

Superb

Our room booked was not as advertised. The room was very basic for the amount paid for it. The pool was dirty, the elevator was near end of life, the door in the bedroom didn’t fit the frame. We had to lift and pull it to close and open. It was very disappointing.

The staff at the front desk was terrific when we checked in in the evening

Not much!! And the front desk would not do anything to make our stay any better. We have stayed here before and got an ocean front room for around $300 a night in peak season. but they are now charging $600 a night which is twice a much for a room half the size of the one we had before. Our room was supposed to be Ocean view but you only see the ocean if you walked out of the room and looked over an old ugly building right next door. The room was tiny. Motel 6 has bigger rooms!!! The floors were filthy and the TV had no premium channels so essentially NOTHING to watch. There were NO dressers so only a small closet to put our clothes so we had to keep them in our suitcases on the floor, which we had to maneuver around. There was no safe for my jewelry. The beds were too small. I’m a 5’9” woman and my feet hung over the bed. There was an old LOUD swamp cooler in the room that I had to turn off if I wanted to sleep.

Location Property outdated. Elevator buttons not working, floor covers old and dirty, window air conditioners are loud and work poorly. Valet parking is $45 per day .

Location and views were amazing.

I really liked this motel because the room was cleaned and the staff was sociable and helpful. The Air conditioner and refrigerator worked well. There were plenty of towels and enough amenities. There was parking at no extra fee. The motel is located within walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. I’ll be coming back to stay here again.

Okay but to old hotel to be expensive

Next time we’ll take advantage of the rooms with balconies.

Staff goes above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. Food / Restaurants outstanding. They accommodate you with 24 hr valet service for a bit of a fee $45 but courteous, convenient and helpful. Parking outside of valet is limited and metered. A lil snag with promise of room service but unable to provide it at the time we were there. However they did accommodate us in other ways with crediting our resort fee so that helps and the walk to the Restaurants are very easy. It's in the heart of the lil towne of Laguna with 100's of cute lil shops bars Restaurants art galleries and more all in walking distance if you can handle some hills. A very lively towne. Turns out and so sad and happy to say Pacific Edge Hotel by far my favorite place to stay now. Best view I've ever had in the Reef tower. Unfortunately we caught the last week there they'll be closing down to renovate a 2 yr project I definitely plan to visit when they're back. And can't wait to see it then. Thank you for a great Anniversary!

The bed was comfortable and clean but the floor was filthy. The place was run down. The price which was high, I definitely would not go back. The hotel staff was nice.

Horrible bathroom and generally old property that needs updating. Not worth the high cost to stay there.

The entire complex is due for demolition to accommodate construction of the new Pacific Edge Resort, so the property is in less than ideal condition.
