Americana Motor Hotel in Flagstaff near NAU/Downtown

I love this little motor hotel, but this time they offered breakfast, but staff never showed up. This is a new add since I was at hotel several months back. Very poorly executed. I didn’t expect breakfast, so wasn’t too disappointed, but if you can’t execute, don’t offer!

The retro feel of the hotel was great fun, especially being located on Route 66. The staff was very friendly & helpful. It was clean, had what we needed, & decorated with some great throwback colors & furniture. If you need a place to stay in Flagstaff we’d highly recommend it.

Quickly funky interior The A/C in the room was not working. Breakfast was awful, it was an order out of a counter serving hatch and must be at least 40rooms and one poor guy serving- he did his best, but service was awfully slow and it wasn’t great quality. They ran out of coffee, my wife asked the receptionist to sort out, she said it’s the breakfast serving guy. As my wife pointed out the poor breakfast guy was run ragged. She was uninterested in sorting it out. When we left 45mins later still no coffee !

Everything about this property made it a one-of-a-kind experience. From the location to the theme, the staff, the service and the amenities, it ticked every box for me. It truly has a little something for everyone- Fire pits, corn hole, a pool, bikes, a dog park, freshly cooked breakfast, local beer and coffee, souvenirs to remember the occasion. It’s a rare gem! The only thing I didn’t like is that I only stayed for one night. I wish I could’ve stayed a bit longer and enjoyed more of the beauty of Flagstaff.

This motel is remodeled 60s style and done really well. There was so much attention to detail. It’s also comfortable and quiet. Pool advertised as heated year round but closed. Continental breakfast advertised as starting at 6am. Opened at 7:45.

Great stay! Will definitely be back!

I was not expecting a breakfast to be eaten outside and ordered via a kiosk window. all guests were unhappy and surprised. we were not told at checkin that our key could be used to access the indoor tables. the lobby was not open when we arrived for breakfast and we had to work out where & how to fund breakfast , also not items were available the first morning the breakfast window was shut after an hr turning clients away -- shocking Breakfast , enough coffee in the room a coffee machine that worked amd replaced when reported - it was not . power problems in some sockets , hair dryer only operated for a minute at a time other power switches not working - all documented in in writing on check out

Everything is great about this hotel with the exception of the dog park. It is being taken over by too many weeds.

Old motel which has been upgraded to current standards. Pool on the pictures looks large and good for active swimming but is small and only good for children. Picture is a bit misleading

Room was very small. Faucet at sink was difficult to operate. Ice machine was in a locked room. Couldn't use front desk because there was a meeting going on. Breakfast was a guy behind a glass window taking your order and making it and handing it out the window on a paper plate covered with aluminum foil. Extremely slow service, some people left, others said they weren't even serving the day before.

We booked this hotel because of its access to Route 66 and we loved its look—the neon motel sign, the great outdoor area, and the rooms with 1970s quirky decor! Check in was easy and guests are given a complimentary beverages—- water or beer! However, The motel charges an amenity fee, and we feel it should have been waived since it covers the use of their pool(closed), bikes, and outdoor games like cornhole/bocci ball which we not usable because of rain , and WiFi (hotels still charge for this?) breakfast is available and we had vouchers for it but it is through a walk up window. It opens at 7 am and there was quite a line of people waiting to place orders as there is One staff person manning it and doing any cooking. We couldn’t wait around so left after 15 minutes. It’s a beautiful motel but We were just disappointed with some things
