The property was very clean & nice . Our tv worked 30% the first night and about 50% the second night. We contacted front desk about first night and they said they would have a service guy look at it. Not sure if it was ever fixed because it continued to do the same thing second night. The only response we got was “sorry!”

We've never commented on a hotel (good/bad) before. This experience needed documentation. 3 weddings and 1 college homecoming were at the hotel at the same time 9/24/26. We were not there for any of them. Hundreds of non-paying people filled the entire parking lot. Hotel customers paying $300/night had to park in a gravel construction parking lot over 1,000 feet away. Hotel staff said "we are not charging you for parking"....Ummm, yes, you did...about $300 per night. Loud wedding groups were outside until 1:30 in the morning. Front Desk wouldn't answer our calls. The amenities were not good: The Starbucks in the lobby had broken machines. The cable TV in the hotel room kept freezing up and cutting out (we couldn't even use that to drown out the mayhem outside 4 floors below us, or the screaming baby in the adjacent room all night long). We asked for a water-view room; we received that, but it was an adjoining room with a connecting door....the adjacent customer had kids that continually turned our door handle which although locked was very disconcerting. Even little things like no shampoo in the shower dispenser....they had conditioner and two body washes. Other little things included the in-room coffee maker had cups, but the lids were too big for the cups. We go to Erie, Pa. at least once a year for enjoyment, have stayed at all of the waterfront hotels before except this one, the Courtyard Erie Bayfront Hotel at 2 Sassafras Pier. We won't make that mistake again.

Hotel / Room / Pools No Bike Parking Lot

Our room was nice with a beautiful view of the lake. There was a lot of construction in the area that made it difficult to get around. It would have been nice to get a heads up on that.

Food at Shoreline Restaurant was very good. The manager was quick to respond and remedy errors. The food was way beyond normal hotel fare. Reservation made 3 months earlier not on their system. Incorrect first and last name merged as 1 name could not be tracked. Took hours to find it and straighten out. Very very tense as we were traveling hundreds of miles for this reservation. Front desk agent Chase was not empathetic in any way, was rude and condescending by calling me "honey" as a 70+ senior woman. Very insulting tone. He admonished me for using a 3rd party platform such as Booking.com. We are extremely well traveled and this person treated me like I had no idea how reservations worked or what my expectations should be. The end result was "not his problem". We are repeat customers and this episode started the annual special occasion stay off to very upsetting start when I was told we had no reservation and they were sold out. I asked to please cross check under my email, or phone number for reservation. No he could not do that as 3rd party supplies no personal info. I was giving him my personal info to cross check. Nope can't be done. It was really bad all the way around. He has no business in a customer service position.

We’ve stayed here many times and love it! The view of the bay and sunset are amazing. The restaurant on site is great, we had crab hush puppies that were delicious! There are also a handful of restaurants within walking distance that are also great with a beautiful view. The infinity pool is small, but an amazing way to relax after check in. The rooms are large with a beautiful view of the bay.
