DoubleTree by Hilton Columbus Dublin

Pillows were nice. I’ve stayed at hotels just as nice for less and they still offer free breakfast. You are no longer competitive. Towels were coarse. We could neither adjust or turn off the hvac unit. Complained at the desk, but nothing was done.

The room set up , mini fridge and safe availability. Location! The mattress cover didn’t fit the bed and immediately came off when laying down:( The closet door does not stay open if fact it slams shut if not being held:( I would have liked a bathroom fan.

Breakfast was predictable, coffee was yummy, parking was adequate, and in a 3-day stay, our beds were made and towels refreshed. We’d overnighted at another nearby Hilton property for the previous 4 days, and none of the aforementioned occurred, so we were thrilled.

Staff was amazing! Shout out to the bartender during the stay. So sweet I am horrible with names, I hope they can check the day I stayed but she needs a raise! My husband and I enjoyed her hospitality and conversation. Very nice lady. Very nice property and wonderful location. We stayed for a wedding, so just a night but if I needed to stay in the area again I would definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you all for your hospitality during our stay.

It was OK. Nothing more.

The aging hotel is has in need of repairs. From A/C to room refrigerator, things weren’t working well. I was shifted three rooms when I arrived to get the reservation into compliance. Then, I was put into an adjoining room. Their room lights shown into my eyes all night. I could hear them talking as if they were literally in the next room. Miserable experience. Unexpected for doubletree. Staff were great though.

Clean, very comfortable beds and good shower! Cookies were warm and fresh. Nice treat! Thermostat was difficult, it kept switching to heat but we wanted air. Woke up very hot in middle of night b/c it flipped from heat instead of cool. Also house keeping didn’t use a door stop. While cleaning room next door. Every time they would go in and out the door would thump on the bolt lock. Went out once to see what was going on and then 15-20mins went out again and asked if they could use a door stop or something(the response was I am almost done). I was trying to rest and the door thumped about every 2-3mins. Very disappointing

The staff is very helpful, particularly when I decide to extend my stay. It’s my go-to hotel when in Dublin..

The food was good but expensive. Should be complimentary.
