History Very expensive parking. $60 a day is wild.

Food was surprisingly good. Cigar bar was a plus
-
Nice but not elegant service anymore. Palace Arms menu is fixed price so choices are limited and you get everything from nicely dressed to tee shirts and shorts. Probably won’t stay again.
-
The hotel over all looks and feels neglected for the prices they charge. Asking 15 dollars for in room wi-fi is also unreasonable. I would not stay there again. There are many many hotels better run and maintained in denver than Brown Palace.

We only stayed for one night but overall maybe my expectations were set too high. Check in was fine but front desk could not answer our questions about the discounted listed on their webpage for residents. Our room was ok. The bathroom vanity was broken-missing door and piece of wood on the shelf was gone. Bathroom was clean. The AC ran all day and night as the control panel was broken. Cover to the heat side was hanging off the hinges. We really enjoyed our dinner at the Ship Tavern- food and service were great! We went over to the Churchill after for cigars and this was really nice as well. One thing that did gross us out was that a waitress who was coming over to pick up drinks for guests in the atrium dug through the trash to find a receipt and then started garnishing the drinks without washing her hands. She also used her finger to pull a garnish out of a drink. She was not working the cigar lounge -thank god and the two working in cigar lounge were excellent. While this hotel is a piece of history in Denver I don’t think we will be back.

So this hotel is overrated. Staff seemed tired, you pay for a resort fee and you get nothing for that. Parking is ridiculous. The only good thing is , the closeness to 16th street. There are better and cheaper hotels in that same area. I have traveled all around the world and I have never written a review like this, but this hotel deserves it. My advise go check out the hotel, but don’t stay there.

This is a beautiful hotel with a lot of history in a great location in Denver. The facilities were amazing and the staff were great. The afternoon tea was excellent. We took the tour of the hotel and our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. The views from our room was great. The hotel is only 2 blocks from the 16th Street Mall and other sites are also quite close.
-
The hotel was centrally located near the pedestrian mall with lots of shopping, restaurants and movies. The hotel’s cozy bar had great entertainment, drinks and food.

The history, it was very impressive. The door stuck so bad we had trouble getting in & had to call maintenance. The room was too cold & we couldn't adjust it to a warmer level, we couldn't even turn it off. Maintenance worked on it until 2 AM - WTH... We asked for another room, they said there were none. So they brought us heaters, a blanket and some towels to block the vents. They didn't comp us a bloody thing! TRUST ME, IT DIDN'T WORK. Very, very, very disappointing!

This was a gorgeous hotel with rich history, well maintained, great location to walk downtown and great entertainment in the evening in the main foyer and bar. Rooms were spacious and clean.

It was relatively clean for a historic building. Thats it. I bet Holiday inn across the street is better anyway! We stayed one night last week and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Our room was extremely cold. We stayed at several hotels on this trip, including in Denver, and none were anywhere close to this. We called the front desk and were told an engineer would come. After an hour, no one had arrived, so we called again. About 30 minutes later, two staff members checked the wall unit, said everything was fine, and left. It wasn't fine, and we barely slept. At checkout, we mentioned the problem, but the front desk agent seemed uninterested and offered no apology or solution. The bigger issue was the bill. Our expected total of about $300 came to nearly $600, including a double charge for food, an unexplained extra charge, and tax applied on top of fees. I had to spend a significant amount of time disputing charges that should never have been there. Finally, we waited 15 minutes outside for our car from valet. If returns take that long, please tell guests upfront so they can plan ahead. I'm sharing this so management can address these issues: the heating/AC in our room, the response time to guest requests, billing accuracy, and how complaints are handled at checkout Also the food both for breakfast and the dinner in the Tavern were overpriced and not good. Eat somewhere else!

This old hotel is fabulous and is in a very convenient location. The rooms are very roomy and decorated well. There are nice bars and restaurants in the hotel to enjoy. Also saw lots of people enjoy the high tea, we didn't but is looked nice. Valet service is available and there is a small welcome drink offered when checking in. Price of valet service, check-in and out pretty slow, bars in the hotel close early, would be nice that employees where some sort of uniform, room needed some little TLC (closet door, faucet loose, door to room hard to open needs some adjustments. These are things House keeping should see and report them and have all in tip-top shape for next guests.

The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. We loved the music in the lobby and Ships Tavern. We particularly enjoyed the opportunity to sing along with John in the Ships Tavern. A delightful stay!
-
Loved the property, its public spaces and its overall ambiance. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We ate dinner and breakfast there. In both cases, the food was flavorful and well presented and our servers were as good as they get. We would absolutely choose this hotel again.

Staff was very friendly, great service. Family friendly and loved the atmosphere

for such a historic property, the room itself felt a bit average. Everything was lovely and comfortable. Just zero historic charm. except for the noisy HVAC. Just glad it was nice and cool :)
