Fairmont Dallas

The staff was welcoming from my arrival to departure. The room was clean and more spacious than expected. The location was great. I was not far from the event I attended. I definitely will continue to stay here whenever I visit Dallas again. Nothing I could think of.

It was a beautiful property. They do Valet parking online then charge you $60 per Valet usage .. I did not know this before booking as I wouldn’t have booked a room like that. When booking it was not clear that they had valet parking only . So when checking out of the room lots of unnecessary charges were added .

Love the property! It’s centralized and there are plenty of great places to eat and visit within walking distance. The staff is super nice and always helpful. Great environment as well.

Two of the three elevators were out of service during our stay, which meant it routinely took 10–15 minutes just to get to or from our room. For a hotel of this size and caliber, that was incredibly frustrating. Check-in was another major issue. There were only two people working the front desk, while the hotel was apparently hosting a wedding with more than 150 guests. The line to check in was 20–30 minutes long, and it seemed like nearly all of the employees were new and struggling to keep up. The valet service was just as frustrating. It took 20–30 minutes to get our car when arriving and another 20–30 minutes to retrieve it when leaving. That is simply not acceptable for a hotel charging the rates the Fairmont does. The room itself also felt dated and uninviting. It was extremely dark, with inadequate lighting, and clearly needs to be upgraded. For a hotel of this caliber, the rooms should feel brighter, more modern, and better maintained. Overall, the hotel felt seriously understaffed and poorly managed during our stay. The elevator situation, check-in delays, valet problems, and outdated, dark room made what should have been a comfortable stay unnecessarily stressful. I expected a much higher level of service and accommodations from the Fairmont Dallas.

This property is old and rundown and the staff really don't care. Not staying at this property ever again. It's really a shame.

Close to the event. The aesthetic was nice. They should specify more that the images y’all show on booking is not how the room looks at all. I was told the only way I can get a walk-in shower is if I got the gold room. I wouldn’t have booked this room at all if I would’ve known it was a hospital style bathroom. it was not microwave in there. It wasn’t even room in the refrigerator for me to keep my drinks cold. My card was charged $140 and only reason why I didn’t go through it because I locked my card so if I had my card unlocked, it would’ve charged me 140 just because I moved the drinks that they had in the refrigerator out and put my drinks in because it have sensors. The bed was very small. I was told I had a city view, and I had a wall view a little bit of city. Really a hotel view. How the lobby looks is how the room she looks. You only can get valet parking and that’s insane specially that the hotel did in downtown Dallas.

Staff very friendly. Everything was great!

Ideal stay. Comfortable and clean. It was in a fairly busy area of downtown but we were well taken care of. Crib friendly for traveling with my son who is a toddler.
