The property was ok, and the staff tried to be helpful. The problem was that, after we checked in, we were told that they had no key machine, which meant that we were not given a room key. Every time we left the room, we had to ask someone at the front desk to go up to the room to let us back in. Obviously not an optimal situation, but it was made worse by the fact that only one person was working when we returned to the hotel around midnight of our second day. He was trying check people in, answer the phone, and run upstairs to let returning guests into their rooms. Like I said, he tried, but we did not enjoy having to wait for him in the hallway outside our room for ten minutes or more. Had we been told about the problem before we checked in, we could have gone elsewhere.

DEFINITELY NOT AN EXCELLENT 8.6 RATING!! Very surprised by the cleanliness and quality of this location. While the staff were friendly, the room was dirty and neglected. The toilet was dirty, like someone got sick and they only cleaned the top of the seat. No soap in the shower dispenser or for the sink. The covers on the bedside lamps over the night stand were really dusty and has rust spots on it. The room temperature was set to 51 and still smelled stale. We stay here because it is close to Starkville and more affordable but I will never stay here again, regardless of the price difference.

Staff was very kind and accommodating, but the room we booked was supposed to be a 2 bed with a pullout couch to sleep 5. Opened the door to find only 1 bed. It was late and the front desk staff said there were no other rooms available, so she went and searched for a cot but they only had 1, so we just made it work. The blackout shade was broken so it was bright in the morning and woke all the kids up. Went to use the shower and found the holder was broken and they had zip stripped it up, but it wouldn’t hold to actually shower, so we just had to try and hold it to shower.

We didn't stop for breakfast. Smelled good. Seemed like carpet in the room had dampness to it. We got in the room and air was set very low.

Mattress Stains were massive.

Our reserved room was given away. ?The bathroom fan did not function, so we had to shower quickly. The front door didn't shut easily, and we had to pull it closed when leaving. The door was obviously kicked in at some point and not adequately repaired.
