Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cleveland by IHG

Hotel was under renovation. Lobby was completely destroyed. Had to step over torn up tiles to get to check in desk. Staff could not operate systems to bring up reservation and finally gave me room key. When i reentered to go to room, i was stopped and given keys to a different room with no explanation. Breakfast area was closed off and no breakfast was available the next morning.

The tub was dirty and the water couldn't drain out of the bathtub properly

I had to be let in by the front desk every time I had to come and go from my room, which was so inconvenience. The water in the room was cold and the air did not was malfunctioning. Just such a horrible day and so inconvenience. I could not get clean tiles until the end of the day and then I did not get a whole set of towels. I am requesting a full refund for my stay at the Holiday Inn in Cleveland Mississippi. Everything was so unprofessional and the parking was horrible.

Hotel was under renovation and the room was not completely renovated. Microwave in the room did not work.

The room was not clean. The bathroom wasn’t clean. It appears the floor hadn’t been vacuumed or swept. Due to lobby renovations there was no hot breakfast.

Broken A/c - had to move rooms. Hotel under (a BADLY needed) remodel. Spiders - I killed three

The staff were friendly and kind. We checked in before a major storm which caused the roof to leak over our bed. I called the front desk and was moved immediately. Also they are renovating the hotel so it makes the hotel look rundown. Once they finish I’m sure that will all change. Overall a good experience.

The first room they gave us was full of ants and they had to change us to another room and that room was being repaired so my state was not that good

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean. Renovations were underway, so it made some things a little uncomfortable, but overall, this is a good place to stay.

The key card system was not working so there was not a key card to get into your room. Each time you needed to get into your room a member of the staff had to go to the room with you to open the door. The lunch room was under construction. The small area for breakfast and coffee was not pleasant. Went across the street to get coffee instead. Room coffee pot was dirty. My first room the air conditioner was leaking and the carpet was wet. I was moved to another room and the refrigerator leaked. I put a towel on the floor and stayed in that room. The bathroom commode had bad stains. The shower drain had what looked like mold around it. The elevator walls were torn with a big hole. The "under construction" was not noted on the website at all. Probably would not have stayed there if we knew this.

Older hotel in need of a complete renovation. The lobby was under construction. Room keys were not available so the concierge had to let you in your room every time. I expected better for $150+/night.

The staff made the experience great overall — everyone from the front desk staff to the maintenance guys. The hotel was definitely in a transitional state, though. The first room they put us in literally had wet carpet from a leaking AC. The room we finally got into was okay, but the toilet leaked onto the floor the whole trip, and we needed to get staff to let us into the rooms because they couldn’t make us a key (the machine was broken). Overall, I would say that the rooms were way too expensive for the experience that we had.

There were people standing around the hotel smoking. There was a card game going on in the lobby. It was just too much

The breakfast was good the breakfast area was clean; the staff was attentive and friendly. The room was clean and will be better once the renovations are done.

Roaches in bathroom, bedroom, and stairwell, a broken elevator, staff trapped in elevator, my 92 y.o.uncle had to get lifted down 3 flights of stairs, air conditioners and refrigerators didn’t work, & renovation while having breakfast was unsanitary,

Overpriced for a hotel that is under renovations. It was not noted that they were under renovations during booking which would’ve been nice to know. We couldn’t use the gym because it was off limits and we didn’t use the pool because it was a bit on the green side. The rooms were clean and the AC was already on when we got there which was nice. I’m sure it’ll be a beautiful renovation but you need to lower that price.

The hotel was under construction and there were several guests expressing issues with their rooms, me included. The staff was very accommodating, understanding, and friendly.

Would like to see how it’s going to look after the renovations. Dining area had a lot of towels around the bottom of the counters. May want to consider adding more juice options for breakfast.

Property was in the middle of a renovation. Our room was finished! It was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Great location.

Beds were nice, AC was good. Breakfast so so, once they ran out of something wouldn’t replace sometimes. Still remodeling. A little pricy for how it is now
