Hyatt Place Champaign-Urbana

10 minutes' drive to University of Illinois Champaign campus. Went on a sold-out football day. Parking garage was double ($30 vs. $15 due to the football game). Was able to leave and return to the parking lot without additional cost. Walkable to lots of restaurants and cafes.

Exceptional

I love this place. It is luxury without the price tag. It is located in the center of the jumping Champaign downtown. The convenience is exceptional. The views from the rooms are great, looking out on the rooftops of the city. Whether for business or pleasure, if you are in the area, this is the place to stay.

Location was really nice and breakfast was amazing

I had a situation where other guests came banging on my door and trying to break into the conjoining room door in the middle of the night. The staff couldn’t move me u til the next day and promised to comp me a future night and never did

Staff is friendly and helpful View from the window It’s a bit outdated, toilet was working slowly, needed extra push, lots of furniture in cafeteria is ripped, old! Bedding wasn’t super clean and was wrinkled

There is no microwave inside the room and no swimming pool. Breakfast is great and helpful staff.

Spacious room The room we were given had a guy spraying pesticides. So we had to go downstairs again and wait ten minutes for another room. Mold in the bathroom, loud location, trucks coming and going late into the night and early evening. Maids talking loudly just outside our door at 8 am then vacuuming. Not much sleep. Staff not too attentive. All doors to back offices and storage rooms are wide open. One had the sense they treated this not as a hotel but as a normal workplace. We had better experiences at a Cheap motel.

Clean room and breakfast was good

We have stayed here several time with our little dog on the way to Chicago. Parking is tight and the area surrounding the property could look a little tidier. You are downtown so lots to the upkeep, I guess. There isn't much grass around for the pets. Great eating options. A cute little market was going on across the street which was fun last we stayed. Chick at the desk was NOT Ms. Sunshine for sure but not rude either. Coming that way at Thanksgiving. Breakfast is the usual fair.

They have a very nice breakfast with hot and cold options. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We went to punch for a cocktail. It is so close to a lot of good restaurants. This is a great place to stay when visiting U of I.

Housekeeping interrupted my morning by knocking hours ahead of checkout, unfortunately. Otherwise, everything was okay.

Breakfast is okay. Standard American breakfast Parking is by yourself. I had to carry my luggage up myself using the bell cart. WiFi was slow. It is a little far from the UIUC freshman dorms.

Parking at $30 per night is unrealistic for this small town!

Everything was as expected. Just be aware that the parking garage is very tight if driving a larger vehicle.

Had a quick but great stay room had an amazing view right in the heart of downtown. My only suggestion is the breakfast buffet was not very good. Europe knows how to do a great breakfast with espresso machines and fresh squeezed juices fresh baked breads, eggs veggies prosciutto and lunch meats with cheeses. Some of the most amazing food I had was at the hotels for free with your stay.
