Courtyard® by Marriott® Baton Rouge South

This was rated 4 stars on Expedia, not at all indicative of what it was. Pictures also did not represent what we found. Really need Expedia to refund my $$.

The room was good. The biggest draw back was that the shower would not drain

My review would’ve been all five stars, but they charge me twice and they have not rectified that right now and I really would like to have my money back in my deposit. I have not received.

Very short stay, staff that helped was nice Dirty dirty dirty shower. Had to put a towel on the shower floor because I was too uncomfortable to shower without shoes. If it was daytime and I wasn’t exhausted I would have NOT stayed the night.

Checked in, went to the room and it hadn’t been cleaned from the previous person. Went back to the front desk and they changed me to another room. Went in and the bed wasn’t made and someone had left a nice surprise in the toilet. I couldn’t believe it. I went back again to the front desk and they were horrified and apologized and went to put me on a different floor. Went into that room with a person from the front desk and the ac wasn’t working and the TV wouldn’t turn on. I told the guy there is no way this is happening to me after I had just spent so much time to get here on multiple flights. I was tired and wasn’t ready to deal with the bs. He took me back to the front desk and found another room that he had called the staff to confirm it had been cleaned and ready. This place had really good reviews but this was ridiculous. They didn’t offer anything in the way of compensation I was so tired I didn’t care at this point. They didn’t even ask later in the day if I was ok like most hotels do. Sad just sad

I got ate up from head to toe . There was hair all over the room . Also dust everywhere. The room was not cleaned very well at all .

No breakfast included with stay

Had a mildew smell in the halls, the room wasn't really clean. Especially the bathroom, had old hair and fingernails on the floor.

Staff was nice and the A/C worked GREAT! Property was a bit run down and not the normal standards from a Marriott. Would not stay again if possible.

Location 3rd floor smells like weed as well as our ac wouldn’t work properly in 356. Kept cutting on and off even though we had to set at 61 just to come on

Great layout And the staff was very accommodating. Little things off. The toilet seat was not secure but I was able to tighten the nut holding the bolt in place. We were promised a "Bistro" for dinner. They had little or no alcohol and several menu items on the limited menu were unavailable.
