The Padre Hotel

The hotel itself is quite beautiful and old. Our room was clean and modern and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. And the bed was like sleeping on a cloud! It was so comfortable. If you’re staying in Bakersfield, this is the place to be.

From the front door to our room, the stay was very pleasant. All the staff was very prof professional & courteous. Will stay again.

Everything was great except the shower with the big window I it very strange!

I love this place whenever I travel. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and makes every stay feel comfortable. It’s consistently a great experience.

Be sure to stay on the 7th floor for the full experience!

Stayed in the head hancho room, it was very nice and spacious. The room was clean and well maintained. I would stay there again if Im ever in the area again.

No food options in the hotel at 10. Only restaurant serving breakfast and coffee closed because they only staff it with one person who called in. Called ahead to get car brought around from Valet and it still wasn’t in front of the hotel when we came down. Brought all this to the attention of the front desk staff member and she sarcastically replied “thanks for your constructive feedback”. When asked to speak to a manager she wouldn’t let me and said they were in meetings. Don’t waste your money. You’d be better off staying at the Holdiay Inn. There’s no consistency with their staff, service, amenities etc.

The Padre Hotel was a nice place to stay in Bakersfield. The valet people were especially friendly and helpful.

First time staying. It’s a beautiful property. Room was nice. Kind of stuck doing valet parking since it is downtown and can’t park anywhere else. Only thing was that the bar/restaurant was closed at 10 and not much around to eat open at that time.

Staff and amenities were great, parking unless valet wasn't the most convenient. There is tons to do around the area within walking distance (Block or two away). My wife and I were pleasantly surprised of Bakersfield's hidden gem.

Nice place. The bar was great and the cocktails excellent. Breakfast at the Farmacy was also good. The only odd thing, was that one side of the shower facing the bedroom was glass, meaning that you could see into the bathroom from the bed! Okay I suppose if you want to watch someone using the loo but not really my thing!

Little bummed out that the rooftop bar was closed. Gym looked like an after thought. I’ve never considered having claustrophobia while working out…but this was close. Room was nice, clean & well maintained. Great bed!

I loved this place, the room was great. It is downtown but the noise level was very little Compton our plays we have stayed at, also the food was great and people very friendly.

Excellent stay. The staff were wonderful, the rooms very nice and clean, valets were fast and helpful.
