Alex Hotel & Suites Anchorage Airport

Except for being convenient to the airport, everything else was terrible. 1. There wasn’t a decent blanket—just a duvet cover instead. I asked for an extra one, but there was no housekeeping on duty. 2. There was no manager at the hotel at night. When I wanted to complain, the front desk told me the manager wasn’t there and I could only talk to him the next day. Keep in mind, most people staying at this hotel are catching flights—who has time to look for the manager the next day? 3. The air conditioner was very noisy. With it on, I couldn’t fall asleep at all. With it off, it was too cold. And when I was cold, there was no blanket either. 4. The whole hotel looked very old, and the facilities and equipment were also poor. 5. The front desk said I checked in at 7 and had to check out at 11. That’s four hours in between. They wouldn’t let me cancel/get a refund. Would you go to sleep at 7?

The hotel is located near the airport and close to downtown. The hotel is quite old and no restroom for guest in ground floor

Very roomy Need crunch in the room

It was great all around! The staff was accommodating and friendly! The freezer kept our fish frozen right up until our flight! The remodeling was very nice!

Hotel shuttle. Convenient location. Room was way too hot. Only one window was an opener. We used the fan which was noisy and dirty but it did move the air from the window.

We choose the Alex because they have a walk-in freezer for the fish we caught. We had 250lbs! Staff was extremely responsive and helpful in storing our fish and getting it back in our car the next day to go to the airport. You can tell that the property was really nice in its prime. It's a bit past that now but they are making improvements.

Excellent closeness to airport with a shuttle Heat was on and I couldn't adjust thermostat...had to open the windows fir the entire night...some mosquitos...

We had a large room in 5th floor with a great view of mountains. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was nice.

Early check in and checkout times, affordable price The carpet in room was not clean. It felt gross and sticky in some parts of room. The heat/ac unit was loud and far from the rest of room. The air didn’t circulate that great.

It was very convenient and the shuttle was super helpful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was on demand which can be nice but if no one ordered they closed. Dinner they were only open and hour and we had to go somewhere else.
