We selected as it was listed as pet friendly. When we got to the hotel they informed us that pets were allowed but could not be left in the room alone even if crated. No where was that stated when we made the reservation. We were in the area to meet with a church group and would not be able to make the meeting if we couldn't leave our dog in her crate for approximately 2 hrs. We had to find somewhere else, somewhere more accommodating to stay.7

Overall, the room was fine and did it's job for our time in Traverse City. It was nice, clean and I liked the setup of the room. The breakfast was decent and the coffee was better than most hotels. That being said, my first day there one of the maid staff was yelling and causing a ruckus to the point I thought she was going to up and quit. Then our first night we were awaked by the group across the hall from us around 1230am. They were knocking on each other's doors and speaking in loud voices through the doors, definitely drunk or on the brink of being drunk. Loud enough that we picked up their entire conversation. We called the front desk who said they would look into it but nothing was done. They continued being loud and obnoxious for about 10 more minutes before they headed to the hot tub. The air conditioner also rattled loudly so it was just not a good stay as far as sleep goes. We'd stay there in a pinch but there are enough other hotels in the area that it would definitely be far from our first choice because of that.

I was pleasantly surprised by the overall appearance of the facility and my room. Clean, modern, and visually appealing. The pool/spa area had some construction, but I did use the spa. Breakfast was excellent. The value was excellent. The fitness area was disappointing-almost an afterthought. No weights and the treadmill was not working (there were three total pieces of equipment, two of which were functioning). It was clean though. Fitness center was lacking

Staff was helpful and nice. Clean property and good breakfast. The only issue we had was the problem with pillows and comforters. Pillows are old not comfortable and comforters are torn. Otherwise we are happy and we had a good time

Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. The coffee was excellent and always available! They accommodated our pet. The location was great. There was a walking path behind the hotel where we walked our dog. Nice views of the lake across the street. No complaints

Although a little older, this hotel was perfect for our short stay in Traverse City. The walls, carpet and bedding in our room were all new and you could tell they were updating the furnishing as they were able throughout the hotel. The bathroom and desk/closet area were older and well used, but the room was very clean. Breakfast was pretty standard (waffles, eggs, cereal, fruit) but the staff overseeing breakfast was very attentive and eager to help. The best part of this hotel was its location across the street from the bay. There were several Adirondack chairs set out in front of the hotel so guests could watch the beautiful sunset over the east bay. Also very dog friendly with a dog water bowl in the lobby.

The pool area was under construction and needs more supervision because of the kids running in hallways and over running the pool. Also, I shouldn't have to request to have our room cleaned daily.

Very friendly staff. Great location, with bike trail just behind hotel so you can ride easily into fown. Also, lived the lawn chairs in front where we watched the sunset o er the lake. A little noisy since we were on the 1st floor - but not too bad.

Nice hotel. Clean rooms. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was good also. The only thing bad was the hot tub was down and couldn't enjoy that. Except for that all was very nice.
