I was informed that the hotel was being remodeled three days before my trip. Once there the lobby was a mess. The area where the breakfast was served was small with no place to sit so had to go back to my room to eat. The food wasn't the best. The eggs were runny and had a lot of salt and pepper. They should make them plain and let us add our own spices. The room looked pretty new. The refrigerator wasn't cleaned out from the previous guest. There was only a half a roll of toilet paper, no extra rolls. The air conditioner sounded like a train was going through my room and the fan blew hard right on the bed. There was also a lot of traffic noise at night. It sounded like a race track was on the street nearby. I was there for four nights and I had to ask for my garbage to be emptied and extra toilet paper and kleenex. The last day I was there we were told the water was going to be turned off from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. I was gone to the beach all day to avoid this issue but I got back I was told the water was never shut off however, back in the room, there was no water pressure or hot water. Katina at the front desk was very helpful to find an empty room for me to shower but it had a little pressure and luke warm water. In that other room, the shower door would not stay shut. I left the next morning without showering but I did have some hot water in the bathroom sink. I will never stay in this hotel again.

I enjoyed it

The hotel is under construction. Even though the room we stayed in was just remodeled there were issues. Bathroom door didn’t close, shower door opens during shower. Last day there was no hot water or water pressure.

The hotel is undergoing remodeling, and the normal breakfast area was not available. The coffee station had been moved into the lobby across from the elevators, while the breakfast food was set up in a very small meeting room that felt barely large enough for guests to move around comfortably. The biggest problem was that there was nowhere to sit and eat. Guests had to collect their food and take it back to their rooms. The hot food was only warm when we picked it up, and by the time we got back upstairs, it was cold. I completely understand that hotels sometimes need to renovate, but when guests are paying the regular room rate, there should be a reasonable alternative provided for an included amenity such as breakfast—especially somewhere to sit and eat it. The situation felt makeshift and certainly not like the experience we expected from a Residence Inn by Marriott at full price. Very disappointing.

Great location and friendly staff who did their best to assist us during a stressful situation. Poor communication regarding ongoing renovations and unexpected extra costs from a room change to a property without kitchen facilities. Disappointed by the undisclosed renovations.

This was a horrible experience. I arrived very late and the place was under construction. In the morning I found out that there was no hot water and I couldn't take a proper shower. I asked for a refund for the room - they told me that they would contact you and then get back to me. I don't recommend this hotel.

Front desk staff was never available and a bit rude. Breakfast was delish! Property has potential once remodel is complete.

Overall our stay was great! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Room was much bigger than expected everything was well kept check in and check out we're both very easy staff was helpful in printing some work-related materials

Even though the hotel was under renovation, it was clean and the staff was friendly and attentive.

The property is in an excellent, central location downtown. The facilities were top-tier, even though the hotel is currently renovating. Everything was wonderful down to the staff who were very accommodating. In other cities, this type of hotel would charge an arm and a leg, but the prices were beyond decent and I appreciated the free breakfast. I’d highly recommend to anyone traveling to, or through Tampa. Five stars!!!

The most frustrating detail: coffee in the lobby was cut off at 9:55 AM, five minutes before breakfast service even ended at 10:00 AM. If you're running a few minutes late or want a second cup, you're out of luck. Waiving parking fees during the renovation period would have gone a long way toward softening the inconvenience, especially for first-time guests forming their initial impression of the property. Would I stay again? Maybe once renovations are complete — but not during this phase.
-
They were in the middle of renovations, but that was more than compensated for by the quality of the experience. I accidentally left my makeup in the room after check out and the staff had it waiting at the front desk when I got back. The sweet lady managing the breakfast was less like a hotel employee and more like you're friends with her kids and she's feeding everyone in the neighborhood. She was so friendly. My husband and I will definitely be going back.

They are doing some remodeling but it didn’t affect our stay

Estaban en remodelación y había ruido constante que no dejaba descansar y trabajar. Además me cobraron $25 por día por parqueo y no fueron muy claros a la hora del check in

This hotel did not advertise its "under renovation" status on partner/affiliate networks. I have been a Marriott customer for over a decade and this is THE WORST HOTEL experience I have ever had. The front desk staff is clueless and powerless, and the management/renovation foreman could care less about being in the hospitality industry. One working elevator. Daily water shutoffs, described as "2 hours or less", which became all day. EVERY SINGLE DAY. Backed up toilet and bathtub, which were never addressed, despite the front desk staff logging the feedback. The elevator hallway in the detached parking garage smelled like a musty incubation chamber for Legionnaires' disease. The second room in our 2-room suite had a blocked or obstructed AC vent, so one bedroom was freezing and the other was a sauna. No ice maker or ice tub. This hotel single-handedly ruined our vacation. Read other reviews - this has been going on for months. Marriott corporate: take a lesson from the IHG Holiday Inn Downtown Raleigh - if you're going to renovate, take the L, shut down, and renovate without making your customers suffer your gross incompetence. You all should be fired and this hotel should be closed.

I do not love the parking situation and that I have to go across the street, use a parking garage and if it is a busy time you may not find a spot since you can only park in designated areas. Would like to see the breakfast be a little more upgraded. Overall I give it a good rating because it is a good hotel choice.

Pool, breakfast, lovely clean modern rooms and amazing staff, especially Sheea on reception who was so helpful when we left our bags before we could check in and help us later too with good advice. Nothing, and even though there were renovations going on, it didn’t affect our stay.

The property was still undergoing construction, and the room I reserved was not available.

The stay was very good
